Thank you for the headsup on duplicate memorial - I have deleted it and added the photo to the original memorial.
|Linda||RE: Isaac Wilson Jr.|
I read you memorial on Isaac's site, & I would like to introduce myself. I am Linda Spurling Atkins, also a fourth great-grandchild of Isaac, through his son Charles, John Broyles, William Loranza, John Harvey, & my mother. The family farm was sold in auction after William Loranza Wilson died in his thirties, from complications, from a horse kicking him. When he died, his widow had enough money to live off of for two years before having to sell the family farm in pieces & remarrying.
Please contact me at Keys2past@yahoo.com, I would love to talk to you!

|Gene Hays||Jones/Hensley Connection|
Hi, my cousins and I are wondering who SMG is and where you are from as well as your connection (if any) to our Jones or Hensley line. Jeremiah (Jerry) Jones is my 3rd great-grandfather, then his daughter Linnie Ann Jones married my 2nd ggfather, Algon Hill Hensley, then their son, John Tillman Hensley, then his daughter Nita married my grandfather Leonard Allen Hays. Let me know if we have a connection. My personal email anytime: firstname.lastname@example.org.
It's possible that the area of Mt. Hulda extends down to the Lake of the Ozarks. Not sure. But Truman Lake is near Warsaw Missouri and about 20 miles away.

I posted a note on his memorial about his birth place. Mt. Hulda is no where near Truman Lake. it is about 7 to 9 miles south of Cole Camp, Missouri and is a large area that people call the Mt. Hulda area. There is a church there by the same name. I don't believe there was ever a town by the name. I live in this area.

|Ross Cameron||RE: Caroline Pemberton|
Thanks! I am glad that my pointing that out did not offend you. We all do things like that.
I have not had any response from the lookup people as to the death notice for "Richard" Pemberton, but I am almost sure it must be for Clay.
By the way, do you know if Caroline's tombstone was erected in the past several years? It apparently was not there in the late 1970s, forty years after her death, when an updated transcription of the stones was made. In the late 1960s there was an inquiry from a relative to the Lawrence County Historical Society about Frank having died and been buried at Mt. Vernon. At that time it was thought he might have been buried at the City Cemetery rather than Williams. Presumably someone found Caroline's obituary later which mentioned Williams Cem. so the family knew to put the tombstone at Williams.
thank you for creating this...just thank you...i dont think there are words for what i feel at finding this....he was my grandfather...he was a man...and is a legend all at the same time...just thank you
