RE: Zula M Gordon
Hi Sharon ,
I will take Zula May. I know you are distant cousins,, but how are you related to her grandparents? My mom practically lived at the Gordon's as her mom, Katie died when she 2 months old. Every time Papa Stewart had an emergency or baby delivery he sent her over to the Gordon's. She and Zula were only 2 weeks apart in age. This was the height of the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918 It took the lives of Zula Mays mother, Bethina , her baby Elnora and my grandmother Kate Stewart, all in the matter of few weeks . My grandfather eventually caught it but recovered. That is why Zula Mays grandmother raised her!
If you are on ancestry maybe you attach this story

Zula May Gordon
Sharon, I wrote on Zula May's Memorial. I have been to her grave so many times with my mother. She was her best friend, neighbor, and my grandfather, William Stewart was the family physician to all the Gordon's. I still have a card from Zula Mays grandmother after she passed away. She and my mom were skating on the pond and Zula Mae fell. She caught the flu which went in to pneumonia and she died. My Mom loved her so much and talked of her up until her death in 2008.
Have a beautiful day,

You are very welcome, Sharon. I love doing this for folks. By the way, do you happen to know the date of death for Amanda? It is not engraved on her headstone. It would be nice to have this on her memorial if there is a way to find the correct date. You might take a look at her husbands memorial as well. I have just added two photos and a flower to the memorial.
