Harley Mowrey sr photo
Hello Gary,
I found your information on Harley Mowrey on this great site and you say you have the names on the group photo. I would love to have a copy. I'm a direct descendent of Harley. My father is Thomas Kay Mowrey son of Alvin B. Mowrey who is the son of Thomas Uriah and Genevieve Odekirk Mowrey. I believe my my Grandpa may be one of the children in the photo as his parents are at the center.

Thank you and please contact me.

Regards,

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 42573788
Gary,

The picture of the Modin tombstone was taken in 2009 when I was there and took pictures of all the markers.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial # 8988144
Gary,

The marker is made up of many pieces of petrified wood. These are pieces of ancient trees which became buried millions of years ago and the wood has absorbed minerals and became stone. The pieces are usually found around old abandoned coal mines in the area. Sometimes the pieces can be quite large. I have three in my yard that are about 3 feet in diameter and about 1 foot high. They are from the base of large trees.

One finds quite a few of these homemade markers in area cemeteries.

Glad I could help. I always take pictures of the back if there is anything on it. There is good information on the backs alot of the time.

Holden requests
Hi Gary,

I have made the updates.

I am not able to remove the link as the link is made through the memorial 128489203 you may want to contact the person who maintains this memorial.

Just to let you know for future requests you may now select the edit tab located on the memorial then select the correct link (for example: name link)for the update you would like made. This way an auto-generated form is created that is more convenient and I will be able to complete the updates quicker.

Thank you
Anne
