Thanks, Wilma. I made the link. Actually, Edith McRoberts was in my family tree. Oddly, Pelham is not, though I am related to most Doyles in the area. Would transfer management to you if you like.

Sorry. To my knowledge, no one has taken over Jan's memorials.

You're right. I got the birth date from his death certificate and have added that document to his memorial as clarification. Thanks.

I went last week to Paris Cemetery. (Great minds think a like!)It was my second trip. This time someone was in the office to help me out and she said that he is NOT buried in Paris Cemetery. Very depressing. The information that he was buried in Paris Cemetery came from a book someone researched about the Civil War soldiers from Bourbon County. I guess the information was incorrect. I am going to go back to the Bourbon Library and see if they have any newspaper on microfiche from his time of death. Maybe I can luck out and find an obitutary. I was wanting to find his grave to see if his military marker had ever been placed and if not, I was going to petition the National Archives for his marker and then take up donations from family members to have it professionally placed. But since we are back at square one and do not know where he is buried...
Check out the Billses I added and am in the process of adding from Paris Cemetery. They are all family one way or another!
I wish we could have gotten together and compared some notes! However, I understand about grabbing as many moments with your family as you can! I actually have some questions regarding Guy and & Nora Bills' family. I find them fascinating, and though I am not a direct descendant they are some of my favorites! Let me know the next time you are in Kentucky, I would be happy to join you on a cemetery excursion!

I few years ago I came across an old yearbook photo of Leona Bills Bacon. I forgot about it until I saw it in my computer today. I added the picture of her and her twin sister onto Leona's memorial and I got the baby picture posted but not the yearbook picture...we have reached picture capacity on her memorial. I was wondering if you had the yearbook picture and if not if you would like it. If so I will email it to you. Have a great weekend!

Wilma, thanks for the kind response. I have also added Daniel's Wife, Millender (as Spelled on the marker). Her maiden name is believed to be Skinner and married 26 Feb. 1791 in Fauquier Co., VA. This is all that I have for her. To what VA lines are you interested descent wise? Do you have Robert S. Riley's History Of The Shumate Family Kentucky Pioneers? I have the second edition. I have John de la Chaumette II and Judith Bailey as William Shumate's (husband of Ann McCormick) Parents.
