Bio Photo Hi!

A lifelong resident of Salt Lake County, I was born at 5:57 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 1992 at Holy Cross Hospital (now Salt Lake Regional Medical Center) in the East Central neighborhood of Salt Lake City.

Raised in the Granger neighborhood of West Valley City, I currently reside in the Liberty Wells neighborhood of Salt Lake City and am a proud Salt Laker.

Family history research led me to discover Find A Grave one day back in August of 2006. I subsequently joined and have greatly enjoyed contributing here since. I feel honored and privileged to be able to help document and memorialize the lives of those who came before me as well as preserve their information for future generations. It is truly a labor of love for me.

When not doing genealogical research, I'm deeply involved in Democratic politics at the local and state levels, serving as a state delegate, county delegate, precinct secretary, and Utah Stonewall Democrats board member. I also enjoy reading, writing (I currently serve as a reporter for Utah Political Capitol and am a contributing writer at and the Deseret News), and listening to '70s and '80s music.

Please let me know of any corrections or additions that need to be made to one of my memorials.

As for transfers, I don't subscribe to the four-generation rule. If I've added a memorial for one of your relatives or friends and you would like to manage it, please let me know and I will be more than happy to transfer the memorial to you.

If you have time, please leave flowers for my grandfather, Brent Curtis; my grandfather, Norm Gibbons; my grandmother, Gae Gibbons; my aunt, Jane Brandenburg; my uncle, Marc Curtis; and my cousin, Clair Harward

Some ancestors had a magic way
Of leaving trails to climb each day
They had a goal and climbed with care
Faith gave them dreams and a home most fair
So from a land across the sea
They came to a land most promised to be
And lived their lives happy and free
They gave us freedom and a heritage great
Anchoring our souls from a cruel fate
Great thrills and joys their stories bring
Of the lives they lived and the songs they sing
God grant that I may useful be
And meet these dear ones in Eternity

Thank you for your quick response in posting. I was a little disappointed that the dates were covered by the grass so I couldn't verify. Maybe in the future you could try harder to make sure they can be seen... I am very grateful for your willingness to help.

Thank you for Marilyn's memorial. I was her sister in law from her marriage to my brother, Jim. I have lost connection to their daughters so appreciate your Find A Grave contribution.

I believe Carole contacted me about a photo that may be an ancestor of hers. Do you know how i can reach someone in her family on her maternal side. I would like to get the photo into their hands.
The subject in the photo is "Harry" (Henry) Randall and his mother.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I noticed that you are maintaining the memorial for Marie F. Martindale. I have a question about them that I am hoping you can answer.
I have in my database a Marie Frances Miller born 3 Aug 1915 in Ashton, Fremont Idaho, she was married to Vurl Murry Martindale, born 3 Dec 1916 in Oakley, Cassia, Idaho, and died on the 15th of Mar in 2003. He is buried at Gem Memorial Cemetery in Burley, Cassia, Idaho Find A Grave Memorial# 77698384. They were listed as married on the 15th (no month indicated) in 1934 in Fremont County, Idaho, from Idaho, County Marriages, 1864-1950.
Vurl is the 10th child of John Clinton Martindale and Ida Louise Gee.
Can you tell me if I have tagged on to the wrong Vurl?
Thanks for your help.
