Bio Photo I was retired with time on my hands. I became addicted to the walks in the cemeteries that was needed for my family tree. Unfortunatley I am back to work full time. But, I will help out when I can in Niagara County NY! Cold Springs Cemetery is my most cherished place. Olin H. is the inspiration that got me going. My first volunteer walk was for him and now I know his whole family, so to speak. This photo is of Myself, CJ and Olin Hartley, The Man himself! At my family plot in Cold Springs.

Thank you for the note. As a retired Army veteran I appreciate every veterans contribution.

Have a nice day.

RE: ann wood
With what you sent for sources plus the book American Presidential Families, I think we are very safe in saying Germany is correct for her death. I'll bet she was buried in Germany if she had a dau & son-in-law that lived there. Hope you can determine this too.

RE: ann wood
Fantastic! Glad that turned out to be correct. What was the source? Perhaps I should add that as well.

RE: Ann Wood
Sounds like a plan. Just let me know what I need to do when you figure it out.

RE: Ann Wood
Should I change her death place to Germany?? I too read about her trip to Germany in her mother's bio. Maybe we should put her in an unknown cemetery? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

RE: Ann Mackall wood
Bruce, I did not create this memorial for Ann in ZT National Cemetery, but DBLee did. You may want to click on his/her profile and leave a message if you haven't already. She/He may have only made an assumption without any proof. This same person did have James & Martha Taylor in the wrong cemetery in Virginia and also transferred those to me. I did some poking around the internet and did come up with this info below:
The source: American Presidential Families by Charles & Hugh Brogan Mosley, @1994 and published in London, England, page 23, states that Ann died in Freiburg, Germany. Since the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery has no record of her burial there, it is possible that her remains were never returned to the United States and she was buried in Germany. I don't know if the source states where she was buried or not. Would you have access to this book?

RE: Ann Mackall Taylor Wood
Not sure what you are asking for. This is what you wrote:
We have many stone walls . can you help us with and memorial stone of her so we can link them for a memorial stone for her husband.
I don't understand about linking memorial stones??
There is already an existing request for Ann's grave marker photo in Kentucky, but it has yet to be fulfilled. I don't know if there is a request for Robert's there in New York. I live in South Carolina.

Bruce- Sorry for the late response. I believe we have talked before. I transferred Dr. Wood to you. Good luck on the project. Contact me (best is E-Mail) if I can help more.
