Daniel Shay in Grove Hill Cemetery
Daniel is buried in Grove Hill in Section R, Row 14, Space 11. He does not have a tombstone. Looking at the photo the stone at the top center belongs to Margaret Ellen Webb of Franklin County. She is in Space 9. The tombstone in the foreground belongs to William K. Price. He resides in Space 14. If Daniel had a marker, it would be half way between these other two stones. All these graves are individual spaces and are not a part of a plot. I have yet to research to see who might reside in Spaces 10, 12 and 13 as they also do not possess stones. They could very well be unclaimed or filled grave spots.

Nancy Cave Strother
Betty: Find A Grave allows people to make memorials when the place of burial is unknown, and not link it to a cemetery. The only linking allowed is to OTHER of your own memorials. You may not ask others to link to your private memorials. This is why I cannot link to you. The reason is that if I have a woman in a real cemetery, and five people have made their Unknown Burial memorials, they can all be linked to my memorial. Each might have a few mistakes. It makes a true mess & has been banned.

Nancy Cave Strother
The Boones opened the land of Kentucky; & it is said, the Caves opened the doors. Nancy's 3 brothers established churches in every nook of north & central of Kentucky. The miracle is that their detailed records still exist. Because of the form of their recording, they are easily available online. Now.
Because many refer to her as Nancy Kavanaugh there was a huge controversy amongst genealogists. Some swore the K's came to America & changed their name to Cave. It is easily proven this is not true, as they were churchmen in England. So in your personal memorial, please amend the name of Nancy Kavanaugh to Nancy Cave, daughter of Benjamin Cave & Hannah Bledsoe.
100s of Boones & Caves settled eastern & central Missouri in the early 1800s & still live side by side. Now, it is their slaves that are being studied! Progress. So, I must adhere to the rules of Find A Grave & decline to link Nancy, as you request. Yours is a personal memorial (no cemetery).

Talked to Memorial Park office today. They informed me that the marker for Gary is on order, but is not he yet. I will keep checking. Thank you.

Harold Tingle
Hey Betty,

Just an update here. I see you have an ongoing request for this tombstone when it becomes available. For the longest time I could not figure out why Mr. Tingle never had a stone, but it occurred to me his wife is still living. I am guessing a stone will not be placed here until she passes.

The cemetery states that there is a Veteran Bronze Marker here, but it is not there yet. I imagine it is being held until such time a granite stone is placed on the site.

I found his stone with Bessie's name on it but, there is not a full death date so not sure if she is buried there.
