Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer request.
The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.
****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)
THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
By Thelma Greene Reagan
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.
"If you wonder about your 'roots' you have two parents, four grandparents eight great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations 300 years or so- you had 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended. --Mady Castro

|Dalma||Joseph aka Josiah Linscomb & wife|
Hello Homer, Josiah Linscomb married Mrs Elizabeth Dodson (maiden name: Springstead) 25 Jan 1871 • Colorado County, Texas, USA. She previously was married to JH Dodson on 11 Mar 1868 • Fayette County, Texas, USA. Josiah/Joe & Elizabeth had 2 male offspring: Charles & Oliver. I'm not sure why you have a Sarah Elizabeth Armstrong Dodson as Joseph's wife but Armstrong doesn't appear to be the same Mrs Dodson that Joseph married. I'll be happy to share records.

Since you stated there is no marker,I will take flower wreath and do area photo. ALSO, noticed you have old request in Forest Park. ""FAMILY"" service will provide locations to friends/family. Their phone is 713-928-5141. will be out there next week.

Homer, I saw the wife memorial when I made the pg for Jessie. I did not link them because the wife has duplicate memorials - one is the original but other was made by their daughter and is sponsored. The memorials need to be merged, or get contributor Vernon Gibbons to delete his.

Thank you so much for transferring Mary Ann's memorial to me. I have asked my nieces if one of them would like to join findagrave and if so, then will transfer it to them.
Again I appreciate your typing the lengthy obit. You know the priest at St. Mary's said he had never had as many people attend a funeral. People parked on the side of the road and some even got out of their cars going down 16th street as the funeral procession went from the church to the grave site.

Thank you for the write up and the work you do.
Lavonne was my aunt. I would just like you to correct the name of her mother. Her mother's name is Mary Etta, but she was called Mae not Maud.
Thank you. I know you strive for accuracy as a researcher.
Thank you again.

Thank you, Homer.

I moved his memorial to the Bland Cemetery. The other memorial has a different death date. His son, Allan is married to my first cousin, Barbara Rochner.
Do you know what cemetery in Galveston his wife was buried in?

Thank you for transferring the memorial of Peggy Savoy. Deeply appreciated.
