Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Ardmore, Carter Co, OK where my husband jokingly says that I thought Noah's Ark had landed.

For thirty plus years I have been involved in genealogy. When my mother died, she left some notes about a few ancestors she had uncovered and hoped I would continue her research. That was the hook-in-the-jaw that changed my life. I only regret that I have missed out on so many years that I could have used. Alas, all those family stories that went in one ear and out the other, and all those family members who took so much information to the grave with them.

I am, however, thankful for the tools that are now available and for FindAGrave, a platform that I have spent many hours gaining from and contributing to.

If I have created a memorial for a member your family, who isn't related to me, and YOU CAN ADD INFORMATION TO THEIR BIO (not just family links), I will be glad to transfer it to you. However, many have received a transfer/transfers & have never added anything. This isn't fair to kin who may come along later who can do so.

An exception to the above are my Bell, Dodson, & Love ancestors and kin, most of whom have numerous descendants. Much of the information contained in their memorials is the result of many years of tedious research, and as new information comes to light, I would like to be able to make those changes. For these memorials please follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers.

Instructions for ALL REQUESTS for corrections, additional information, or transfers:

1. Go to the memorial page, which has an "Edit" tab located on the upper right side of the memorial.
2. Click on the "Edit" tab, then click on the Suggest a correction or provide additional information link, which opens a message page.
3. Type in your message.

Making a request this way insures that no mistakes are made, because it takes me to the exact memorial.

Thanks for your understanding.

RE: Johnny McLoughlin
Thanks Virginia for offering, but I'll decline; It was Emmett's memorial that I really needed, I wanted him to have a bio. for he did so much for the people here in Phoenix, in 1930's and 1940's, and it would be a shame not have noted it. I really appreciated that transfer! God Bless..

RE: Nannie Bryant
You are quite welcome. I am just happy that someone is taking an interest in this family in Lynn Creek. I am not related, but a lot of the people buried in Lynn Creek are related to my husband.

Benjamin and Jeanette Harrison
Thank you for your answer concerning my gg Aunt and Uncle, Benjamin and Jeanette Harrison. I did not know them personally, since they died before my time, but as soon as I get something together for them, I will send it your way. However, the relations and places of birth are real and I would like very much to see them attached to her as per my requests via the proper means. Thank you very kindly, Ray Jackson

RE: John Bishop
Missouri has a website that allows you to search for death records up to 1964. They have one database for 1910-1964 and one for pre-1910. It has been an invaluable tool to locate death records. The dates on John Lyman (listed Jno M on record) are DOB: Sep 1825 and DOD: Feb 22, 1914 with burial being in Syracuse on Feb 25, 1914.

The picture of the stone clearly shows different dates (1833-1917) and yours of (1833-1914). I also forgot to point out that I have as of yet been unable to find a record of Sarah Jane's death. I have established that Sarah Jane Rhinehart are my relatives by several of their children's death records. The first link is to the website. The second link is to the record I am referencing.

You are welcome. Glad I could take the photo for you. I also posted the one for James Oxford to his memorial page.

RE: John Bishop
I have the census records and I have his death certificate and none of the dates add up.

His birth year and death year on his death certificate do not match what you have and what the other memorial has.

I do know that John was married to Sarah Jane per my 2nd great grandfather's death certificate. John is my 3rd great-grandfather and not one census record has the same age (or correct age).

I spent today at the library trying to see if there was an announcement in the local paper to correspond to either death date and I have not located one yet. I am hoping to do further research on it next week and I am working to contact a cousin of mine who might be able to help.
