Bio Photo Thoughts of my loved ones are my reminders that they too think of and watch over me.

My passion at find-a-grave is reuniting children with their parents and siblings. For so many years and miles their names have been separated and unconnected.

I appreciate every photo taken for me and will do the same for anyone that I can. I also equally appreciate the transfers of management and will transfer to families of those I am not connected to also.

My permission is hereby granted to anyone who wants to download, copy, or use any photos that I have posted on the Find-A-Grave website.

I sincerely hope that I have helped others make the connections that they have been trying to make.

Virtual flowers are appreciated.

Aloha. Apologies for taking so long to get back to you. Ora/Orie might well be the same person. My husband had another surgery today but I will try to dig out my notes re: the memorial and the death date I posted. Might be next week before I get to digging it out or maybe the week after. I appreciate you making note of it. I will let you know. Meanwhile, linking M. to Orie will help others, too! Thanks.

RE: William H Groves
Thanks for your reply. I clicked on the photo of the headstone, and it says that the birth date for William H. Groves is 1879. This would preclude the possibility of this person being the offspring of John Robert and Emma C. Groves, since they were born in 1865 and 1871 respectively. The inscription also says that William H. Groves was the son of "R.T. and C Groves. I'm not 100% sure, but it seems to be a logical conclusion that this refers to Robert Thomas Groves and Sarah Catherine Dye Groves, since they are buried in the same cemetery. Thanks for your contributions to findagrave.

Attention to details
I have had the same problem with some members of Find-A-Grave ignoring the rules and creating memorials because they are for relatives and they just want to "own" the memorials. They cannot accept that someone else created the memorial before they did. These same people then turn around and report the original memorial creator to Find A Grave as not being a good memorial manager. That is just rude!

Another pet peeve of mine are members who claim to be in direct line related to hundreds of people, just to have a memorial transferred to them. In the past many times they would then delete the memorial and create their own new one.

You are an asset to Find-A-Grave. You actually care about keeping your memorials updated and add links and other data whenever you find it, even years later. And with edits and transfers, I have never heard of a problem.

You are doing a great job as a Find A Grave member. Keep doing the great and helpful job you are doing. I only wish more members would take this site as seriously as you do.

Meikle, Metcalf and Casey
I would have liked to have a private address to address these issues, but you do not have one.

Yes, mine were created after yours but only after I had repeatedly requested that you correct information, etc.

George and Agnes Templeton Meikle are my great grandparents. Joanna Meikle Metcalf is my great aunt, George Metcalf is her husband, and Laura is her young daughter who died young leaving a void in the entire family. Phoebe Casey as you have her listed is Phoebe Metcalf Casey.

I have also written you that the Meikle boys buried in Lot 30 you have the wrong dates. Those dates were from a listing the cemetery put together years ago attempting to reconstruct who was buried where as some of their records were wrong on the older graves. I worked with them to correct the dates.

George and Agnes Templeton Meikle are within the four generation guideline for Find a Grave, so therefore you should delete yours. As for the Metcalfs and Phoebe Casey, I will leave that up to Find a Grave. You should also consider deleting inaccurate memorials that you have created.
