Bryon White
RE: Moses C White
Thanks Juanita, I find the Whites very hard to research in our case. I am not sure if this is the same Robert but the dates and parent names I have been given do match. Our Robert married Mattie Louise Smith Jul 12, 1884. He was only 17 and I think she may have been as young as 14. They have five children one of which was my Grand father. The last child was born in 1894 and Mattie remarried in 1894. Somewhere before then Robert left the family. Our White line stops there unless we know that this is the correct Robert. I was told Thomas and Sarah were from Arkansas. I see in the 1870 Census Sarah is listed from Ark.

Juanita, I think that my line is through Thomas and his son Robert. I am trying to prove it. Do you have any information on Robert?

Thank You

Juanita, are you related to Helen? If so how and if not would you consider transfering her to me? She is my gg grandmother on my mother's side. If she is related would you be willing to share more info on her if you have it? Thank you so much for caring.

J M Pitts Buffington Cemetery
Hello we went out today and found the marker your looking for for J M Pitts Husband of M E Pitts Born Dec. 6th 1870 Died Feb. 20th 1902. Or so it is stated on his Head stone.

I also found another Pitts who was born in 1847 I believe I think the name was H M but it is very hard to read. But what was interesting is he also died in 1902 and looks to be old enough to be J M Pitts Father.

Well long story shorten when I went to take the picture my camera went dead so I will have to go out again tomorrow and get the picture.

RE: Obediah Neal
You are very welcome. I took a picture of every readable stone there. The names were on findagrave I just added the photos. There are 17 or 18 graves marked with just fieldstones. There are also at least 3 what appear to be unmarked graves here. This was an interesting place to visit. There are 6 rows of graves, mostly marked with just fieldstones. The site is well maintained by someone. If I can be of assistance again please do not hesitate to ask.
Regards: Nick

I live in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and have visited Duncan Cemetery for you. There are several marker stones and I am sorry I was unable to locate Mr. Pitts. I also researched the local funeral homes and the caretaker of the cemetery. No one has any records. I wish I could have helped. If your relative is buried there they have only stones. I frequent our cemeteries and would be glad to help track someone else for you if you would like.

RE: Pitts
Hi, Juanita. Are you related to any of the Pitts' family from Big Cabin, OK?

Thanks for your kind comment RE: the pix. It takes a bit of practice to make those things (you know, once you wipe something out for the 15th time, you learn NOT to push that button :)

Once you get the hang of it, you can make one in about five minutes - provided your computer doesn't give you any grief... Hugs, Debbie
