If you know the location of any cemetery in Ashe Co., NC which does not already have a map on Findagrave, I would appreciate very much hearing from you.

I would like to transfer my non relative memorials to any relatives who are active and co-operative users of Find a Grave. Just ask. I make mistakes. Contact me with changes, corrections, etc.

Just make sure you get the details correct on the location and naming of the cemetery, even a GPS and driving directions if you have it. Find A Grave is good to work with if you give them enough details and will merge them.

Sometimes new members don't take the time to look at existing records, or cemetery names, to ensure they are not creating a duplicate. The problem is once a cemetery has been created they don't delete it, but show it as "Also see. . . ." note on the name. In Surry County, NC there are 3 Union Hill churches with cemeteries, two Pine Hill churches with cemeteries, and two Mt. Pleasant Baptist churches with cemeteries and people who don't know the area generally post them in the wrong place. :-)

Mabel Loretta Burleson
Please delete the spouse Walter Freedland Linn from my mother Mabel Loretta Burleson Morgan # 109538152--Burleson Cemetery Avery County at Mt. Pleasant, Hughes. This apparently is some guy from South Dakota. Never heard of him. Leave the spouse Samuel H. Morgan--my father.

Thank you,

Samuel h. Morgan, JR.

Hmm, I suppose the last comment/edit beat the first edit. Sometimes the internet is a funny place. Thanks for your quick response and have a great Fourth of July.

Jennie G. Scott
Jennie G. Scott - Find A Grave Memorial# 67279332 Her death date is listed on memorial as 1915, but her headstone says 1913. Just thought you might like to correct it.

You might also want to add that her maiden name was GRUBB. I am only assuming that is what the "G" stands for here.

Great work that you are doing. You should be commended. It will be of help to so many people.

Rumph Cemetery
Dear Chet, do you by chance known the gps or directions to the Rumph Cemetery in Saint Matthews in Calhoun County? I am doing research on the patriarch, Rev. Christian Rumph, and would appreciate the opportunity to see his grave as well as those in his immediate family. Thank you for whatever help you can provide.
