RE: Edward and Ann Hudson
We are keyed in on this cemetery. I work with the local cemetery commission. A builder has started a subdivision back by this cemetery and even though he is required by Indiana law to stay 100 feet from the cemetery boundary, he has not followed this law. DNR was called in and they are in the process of reviewing this infraction. Because we have so many missing stones in this cemetery, this is especially important to us. I have a personal reason for concern as my husband's family-Trues, Hawk and Ashcrafts are buried there also. Feel free to contact me anytime for updates. Every time we have been to the cemetery within the past year, we have found more stones! I do know that there are a number of native stones so it is possible that there is not a gravestone.

Lewis Gene Milner
Hi Marsha. Do you have any information about the spouse (s) of Lewis Gene Milner (1925-1971), father of Tammy Jeanine. I have no name or dates. Thanks.

RE: Elmer Ray Grim
Thank you very much. Normally I wouldn't ask to have a news article posted to a memorial but this was an exception. To find anything about a babies death in 1889 is a rare find. In the article Craft & Baxter is the mortuary and Mr. Jennings is a professional photographer. I realized that when reading other news articles.

RE: Emery Van Nortwick
Emery Van Nortwick was my mother's uncle. His wife was Esther Morehead Van Nortwick. They also had a son, David Elmer Van Nortwick.

Emery's parents were Simon and Annie (Featherstone) Van Nortwick. Anna was born in England and came with her parents at the age of 5.
Simon's parents were John Van Nortwick & Sarah Wilson.
John's parents were John B Van Nortwick and Maria Brokaw.
John B's parents were Isaac Van Nortwick and Jeannetje Sebring.
Isacc's parents were Folkert Van Nortwick and Janete
Folkert's parents were Simeon (Symon) Van Nortwyck and Folkease DeWitt.
Simeon's parents were Adrianus Van Nortwick and Cornelia Van Wesel. (many spellings of the names)

Adrianus Van Nortwick was a Dutch Reform Minister and he died in the Netherlands. Cornelia remarried (another minister) and brought the children to America.

RE: Anona W. Owens Milner
A "Milner Schoolhouse" photograph? I may have a lead for you if we are talking about the Milner Family I'm familiar with from Republic Co., KS. These Milner folk settled in or near Republic City, Big Bend Township, Republic Co., KS.

Kathryn Gile runs the Scandia Library (913/335-2271). She is quite a gal. And she has photographs of most all the country schools and all the churches. If you are not certain about the school name she can trace the closest school to the townships' section where the Milners homesteaded in the 1880's or even later.

Its worth a phone call.
