Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi everyone. I'm a nurse by day or night (dependent on shift), part-time student, self-confessed crazy bulldog lady and manic family tree researcher when I've got some down time.

Even though it doesn't state it, I've been volunteering for FindAGrave since the days of cameras that use film and photo requests that required envelopes and stamps. Talk about old style FindAGrave ;-)

If I have a family or friend's memorial(s) - you can ask for more than one ;-) - just email me the memorial number(s). You DO NOT have to prove how you're related. The only transfer requests that I will deny are my family members. Your family members belong with you. If you and I share a family member and you'd like to add additional info, pics or a family story please email it to me. I'll add it to their bio and give you full credit.

Thank you to everyone who submits edits. The more accurate we can make this database, the better it is for everyone. Your time in submitting edits is sincerely appreciated.

I'm a proud descendant of the Archibald W. Chambers (Knox, IN) family, the Alexander and Rachel Chambers family of Lacon Illinois, the Humes, Palm, Turnbull and Cole families (Starke & Marshall counties IN) and the Knaack family of Chicago Illinois.

*My Chambers relatives are eligible for membership to both Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and The Mayflower Society. I have the basic lineage if anyone needs it, but the line still requires independent verification which unfortunately is $$$.

***April 2015***regarding North Union Cemetery, Starke County Indiana. I believe there are MANY more graves there than are listed on the index. I hope to do a thorough reading of the remaining stones this summer. If anyone has any information about people who are rumored to be buried there, please pass on the information to me. Time is running out to accurately document this cemetery with many stones nearly unreadable, toppled or broken.

Kellee, I added Jennie's mother's maiden name of Ramp. Thanks for the info. Do you want me to transfer her to you? These records belong with family whenever possible. I won't be able to do it much longer. Have no one to leave this responsibility to. Jane

RE: Rachel Chambers
No wonder I did not find the tombstones. A couple of years ago a family member produced pictures of their family's stones that were taken years ago. Now the actual stones are missing. Wish I could do more - but I am 72 years old and can't do much physical labor anymore. There are probably more stones hidden under the grass and weeds. Jane

Kellee, Just curious about the tombstone picture. I have been over Old Salem Cemetery many times and have never seen s marker for Rachel Chambers. Did you maybe find someone who had a picture from years ago in their files? Many stones are unreadable and many are just missing. I compiled a list of burials from reading actual stones, plus a paper list from years ago. A few more have been added from family members who believe that their relative is buried there. Jane

Hi Kellee,
Thank you so very much for taking the photos for these memorials. I can't believe you found them and that you went out when there's snow on the ground. Again, thank you for the pictures and the work you do here on Find a Grave.
Take care.

Kellee,
Thank you very much for adding the great photos to Ronald's memorial. They're perfect! Hopefully it wasn't too cold and you didn't have to walk too far. Thanks, again.

RE: George Chambers
You're welcome Nellie, George was buried near some family members of mine so I also visited their graves while I was near.

RE: Charles H. Ramp 130500193
Made a brief trip to the Historical Society and found very little information on Chance, Chambers or Ramps. We have had Ramps & Chambers pass through the Congregational Church records but none of the names in the message showed up. Sorry.
I think I have all of the known burials in the Lacon Cemetery entered into FindAGrave so if you don't see them, they're probably not there. I still have 200-300 photos to upload so should have enough to do during the coming winter. - Dale

RE: Cushman family question
By 1942 Samuel Ellis Parrish is living in Taylorville, Illinois per his World War 2 draft card. He lists his daughter Grace Parrish-White who is living in Southbend, Indiana as his contact person. This would imply that Ella has passed.
