Currently living in Denver, CO. USA. A 12th generation Mayflower descendant, also a Mary Barrett Dyer descendant (13th generation). I have been researching our genealogical lines for about ten years.
Current areas of most interest:
Locke and Buckingham families that migrated from Devon, England to USA in the 1800's.
Chipman Families in Pennsylvania and Texas USA.
1800's Hudak family of Pennsylvania that migrated from Eperjes, Slovakia now Presov, Slovakia and also Hanusfalu, Szepes, Hungary which is now Hanušovce nad Topľou, Slovakia.

I, too am a 12th generation Pilgrim descendant, was wondering if you have any info on Burt & Annie Dyer. They lived on Dyer Ave, Whitman Ma and when I knew them was between 1946 to 1953 and they would've been in their 70's then, guessing they were born between 1870 to 1885. They were real characters. I think Annie was a Hatch (maiden name). Just curious and love the work/pictures you have taken. | | | Lois Harriman

Hi Lizzie,
I checked the Bly Cemetery transcription that is at the Three Rivers Public Library today for other Lockes. The only Locke listed in plot 1018 is Russell Leslie. The rest of the Lockes in Bly Cemetery are already listed on Find A Grave and they are in totally different plots.
The cemetery transcription I consulted was put together from several sources including a walk through the cemetery recording markers. The original records were lost in a fire but I believe that effected only records before 1920.
Hope this information is somewhat helpful.

The family members may be in the plot but without markers. Next time I go to the Three Rivers Public Library, I will check the transcription of Bly Cemetery that they have there and see if there are any Lockes listed.

Hi Lizzie,
I took a photo today and will post it shortly. The marker only says "Russell Leslie 1950" on it. It rests in the middle of plots empty of markers all around it. There was no Locke family monument in that section.

| William and Ann Buckingham Locke
William and Ann Buckingham Locke are my 2nd Great Grandparents. I have been doing genealogy for some time. I believe that William Buckingham Locke was one of their children. I am trying to find out what happened to James Peter Locke, born in 1844 or 1843, between the time he sailed from Liverpool (age 13) on the 'William Stetson' with a female relative named Margaret Locke (age 25)and arrived in New York July 31, 1857. They went somewhere before James took off on a Wagon Train from Janesville/Beloit, WI, for California. I have been told he was staying with a brother of Ann Buckingham but I have no information. Do you have any information that might help me?
