I've been doing genealogy actively since 1978, but was interested since I was about 8 years old, asking my Grandparents questions about their Grandparents, etc. I compiled the 838 page A JACKSON FAMILY HISTORY:PUTNAM COUNTY, TENNESSEE AND BEYOND. . . . which I published in 1993. Find-A-Grave is a wonderful vehicle to share pictures, and genealogical information to others. I recently retired as a Music Teacher, and spend several hours a day working on Genealogy including Find-A-Grave. | |

 | Washington Parker Hicks Was so surprised to see my Grandfather's name come up when I did a search on facebook (of all places). Still don't know how I managed that! :)
I also learned my Grandmother's name was Genevieve. Evidently, she went by Jemima because that was the only name I had heard. My Aunt Lottie did tell me she died when my Mother was around 2 or 3 yrs old (so that would have been around 1925-1926 or so) because Mama was a toddler and would cry for her Mama. My Mother was born in Jan. 1923. Aunt Lottie was in her 90's when she came to see Mama right before she died in 1993.Added by Patsy on May 07, 2013 1:08 PM | | | Patsy

 | John Elbert Weston I want to tell you how much I enjoyed the WESTON family pics ! John Elbert and my Mom are first cousins altho Mom was younger and removed two times farther down the family tree than John. John's father is actually INCORRECTLY shown as Andrew on his MO Death Record. Andrew was an uncle while John's father was another, John N Weston, Civil War vet:

John N's death early in John Elbert's life(ae 6/7), and his Mom's remarriage may have caused confusion. You may be able to view John at the bottom of the page with his Mom, Mary E Chase Weston Terry, shown as head of household in 1880.

 | John Evans Michael,
I see on John Evans memorial page that you posted two black & white photos of John. Do you have any family information about him or just the photos? I was great, great-grandfather's nephew and I am trying to fill in some family information.
Thanks for you help.

 | Immaculate Conception Cemetery Thanks for the brief history on the cemeteries....it helps clear up my confusion. Also gives me a better idea of who is buried where.Added by SMG on Mar 15, 2013 10:46 AM | | | SMG
 | Puzzle solved I went on Google Earth and solved the problem....there ARE two cemeteries. Now if I could only sort them out....who's buried where! Sorry to have bothered you.Added by SMG on Mar 13, 2013 8:19 PM | | | SMG
 | Puzzle I'm asking you because you took pictures of this cemetery.
Are these two different cemeteries or are they one and the same? The maps make them look like two different cemeteries but one of the pictures looks the same?
Here's the first one: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi? page=cr&GSln=jaegers&GSiman=1&GScid=2274428&CRid=2274428 &pt=Old%20Immaculate%20Conception%20Catholic%20Cemetery&
and here's the second: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi? page=cr&GSln=jaegers&GSiman=1&GScid=29491&CRid=29491&pt=I mmaculate%20Conception%20Cemetery&
I'm trying to get my memorials in the RIGHT cemetery. The DC's only state burial place: Loose Creek, MO. (???)
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.Added by SMG on Mar 13, 2013 7:31 PM | | | | [View all messages...] |
