Bio and Links
Bio Photo Even though I really enjoy researching my family history, my purpose and calling in life is to serve as a missionary for my Lord Jesus Christ. I serve through World Gospel Mission (Marion, Indiana) in Bolivia, South America, which has been my home since 1986. I am an ordained minister, a seminary professor and have been somewhat of a writer.

I was born in Ohio, spending much of my growing up years in that state. My wife is a New Englander and our two children were born here in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

My interest in genealogy began when I started sifting through old papers and boxes of photos following the death of my maternal grandfather in 1979. It is a fun hobby of solving mysteries of the past and learning more about history.

I hope some of the information and photographs that I'm posting will be a help to others in their own quest to learn more about their family roots. If you think we share some common ancestry, I'll be pleased to share what I know.

RE: Nellie (Nance) Fudge
After you note, I noticed that I am distantly related to Nellie's husband Henry Fudge through my fathers side. I think I am related to everyone in Lawrence County.

I'm sorry I don't have a picture of Nellie or a story. I know Rick Platt is also related. If I find anything in my mothers family I will let you know.

Sarah Cox Photo Request
Hi, I have just gotten a copy of the new Lucasville Cemetery Directory and I checked for Sarah Cox's name and it is not listed. It was done by the Lucasville Historical Society with help from Tom Adkins work in 1999 when they walked the cemetery. It has been updated to this year. However there may be no stone to read. The sextant for the cemetery is in his 80's and says that some records of burial in the early years are lost. His record books are in bad shape due to age of the books. Hope this will help let you know why your request for a photo has not been answered.

I did find Theodore. He was in a different cemetery, at Edgewood, on a stone with the names Sergi and Barbara. I sent you pictures to your email from the grave and updated the records. There was a listing for one of those people that you managed already.

RE: Lane graves
Yes, I would love Sarah's. My mother was a Lane but didn't know a lot about them, as her father, Howard Lane died went she was 2 years old. Years ago she and her brother search for his grave but couldn't find it and decide that their mother couldn't afford to purchase a headstone. She would have been as glad as I am to have this information about her 2nd great grandfather. You can contact me thru my email -
Thanks again, Linda Weber

Rick Platt
RE: Platts
I descend from George and Mary Ann (Hockenberry) Platt. Alex and George were brothers.

I would like to compare notes. I recently found myself adding Alexander's descendants to my tree. I'm in Ohio too.

Ever find out where Alexander and Sara are buried?

RE: Sarah Stockwell
Sorry, I can't be any help to you. I copied the cemetery from a cemetery book, someone else added the picture of the stone. Kay
