|Angie Birdsall||Gov. John S. barry|
I'm curious where you got your info. that Gov. John Steward Barry (1802-1870) was ever married to anyone except Mary Barry. Barry and his wife were childless. I noticed you published info. on here that Barry had a prior wife and a son (named after him.) I disagree w/this vehemently. I live in Constantine, MI and am a member of the historical society, which is named after Gov. Barry and believe in what I say. email@example.com
|Dawn M.||Ernest Oliver|
Thanks for linking Ernest to his parents. Also thanks for Oliver family photo with NAMES! I have a copy of the photo that just has "Uncle Vernie" on the back. Now I know for sure that he was the toddler.
Thanks again for all you do.

|Zerelda Holder Hammer||Charles Morse Request|
We walked the Merriman Cemetery today after stopping by the little town office. The office shows that a James Morse (1889) owns plot 047, but they have no record of a Charles buried there. We did walk by the plot, but did not see a headstone for Charles. Sorry we couldn't help you out.
|Gregory Hancks||RE: palmer photos|
I apologize for the confusion caused by my recent photo upload. I had a photo for Mary A. Palmer that I first uploaded for Mary Frances Palmer. When I saw my error, I deleted the photo on the latter page but by that time you had already been sent an automatic notice.
I took photos of all of the markers I could identify that were the subject of current requests. Unfortunately, I didn't locate a marker for Mary Frances Palmer.

No, this Samuel F.B. Morse was another line and not of ours. The Elizabeth that was his mother was Elizabeth Breasly/Breezley? His father was Jedediah Morse. It is a cousin line to ours.
|M_artin S_chauder||Re: Blanche Curry Dexter|
I've added a photo (taken today) to Blanche's memorial showing her gravestone location and surrounding markers. There is a (crude) map of the cemetery on the Oak Grove page and her stone is in the middle of what is labelled there section "K". (If you zoom into the Google map in Satellite mode you can see the sections more accurately.) Unfortunately, there is no marker for husband Roswell in the area, although there is plenty of room: her stone is all by itself. I took photos of all markers in that section in June 2012, and I've taken many hundreds in that cemetery without chancing upon his stone. It may be elsewhere or is simply unmarked. I see you posted the photo request and that Debbi suggests calling the cemetery office at (734) 475-1771. Hope you are able to locate his resting place.

I only have three Curry family entries - and they are from Saginaw County - none going back further than that. I think your assessment is accurate. I'll keep your note in my files.

James McCarbery is my Great-Grandfather. Are you also a relative? More importantly are any of your pictures of the McCarberys? I certainly would like to get some as I don't have any pictures beyond my Grandma McCarbery.
I have further information on James and his spouse, children, etc. Do you want me to send you the information or do you want to transfer management to me for me to enter?

|Tennise Broeck Morse||RE: Old Old Morse Family Info|
Dear Caryn: You're the one with the info! I didn't know that Joseph Morse married again. Do YOU have the info on his second wife's maiden name, birth and death date, and their marriage date? If so, I would appreciate you sending the info to me! As to Joseph Morse: He was a son of Peter Morse (1674-1721) and his wife Priscilla Carpenter (1681-1759). Peter married Priscilla on 28 December 1698 in Woodstock, Windham, Connecticut. To follow the Morse lineage: Peter was the son of Anthony Morse, Jr. (1632-1678) and his second wife Mary Barnard (1645-1724) -- his first wife was Elizabeth Knight. Anthony Jr. married Mary Barnard on 1 November 1669 in Massachusetts. I have a copy of his will, and some info on him from the Morse Genealogy (he was born in England, lived in Newbury, and served in the militia as a lieutenant. Anthony was the son of Anthony Morse Sr. (1606-1686) who was born in England and arrived in Massachusetts in 1635, and his wife Ann Cox (1607-1679) who was also born in England. They were married in 1629 in England. Anthony is noted on the First Settlers Monument in Lower Green, Newbury, Massachusetts, and on the Medfield Monument which is in Vine Lake Cemetery in Medfield, Massachusetts. The Cleveland Genealogy says that Anthony, Sr. was born on May 9, 1606 in Marlboro, England, and was a shoemaker. It states he arrived on the "James." I think it would make more sense to send other e-mails on the womens' lineage. Yours, Tennise
