Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an attorney and court commissioner in Dodge County, Wisconsin. My lovely wife Julie and our kids Philip and Grace (and dog Howie) enjoy exploring cemeteries with me.

Like most of my fellow gravers, I do this to preserve the history of those who came before us and the often beautiful works of art that mark their final resting places - and to make the information more accessible to those who might be searching for it.

My information comes from a variety of sources, including older cemetery transcriptions done by others. Feel free to contact me with corrections, additional information, transfer requests, questions, etc. I'll be happy to help if I can.

Davis Headstone
Thank you so much for finding and photographing the Davis family at Hillside Cemetery in Colunbus. They are my GG Grandparents. I drove 450 miles to get the photos and we looked for an hour or two but could not find them. The cemetery crew would not help us or even give us a phone number. They said they were not authorized to do so. Thank you for your great work on this site !!!

Mary Butterfield Newcomb Farnham
A side note on Mary #133307389. She was married 2nd to ? Farnham, so that's why she is listed in the Newcomb plot.

RE: John Butterfield # 115675380
Steve, I spoke to Gloria at Hillside regarding the Maxwell and Newcomb families locations. I put a request in for Thomas Maxwell. He, Eleanora and Camilla are in Block 84 Lot 6. I'd like Eleanora and Camilla's, too however I ran out of photo requests options for this week. I thought I'd let you know just in case you headed out there to photograph. The Newcomb (Daniel F., Mary J., Franklin B., Edwin R. and Edwina) family (again I can't make the requests for another week) are all in Addition 1 Lot 9 along with a Mary Farnham (I made a memorial for her but I'm not sure how she's connect yet). Thanks. Sue

George C. Butterfield

Do you know what the initials are on the stone next to G.B.B's in the photo you took? I don't have George married but I am looking for his sister, Elnora. Did you photograph the other stone?

RE: John Butterfield # 115675380
Steve, thank you and I will request a transfer of John's memorial. The photo's are beautiful and I'll follow up on the Newcombs. Do you mind if I use the photos in my family tree (credit to you of course)? Thanks again, I appreciate the time you've taken.

Thanks for helping out with the questionable grave. I wonder where she is buried then. Does Calamus have a cemetery? Certainly appreciate your help in looking! Jill
