Your tombstone stands among the rest;
In this field of green.
The name and date are chiseled out
For all the world to see.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I'd exist,
You died long before I was born.
Yet we are of one, you and I,
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the life you lived
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Please consider transfering management of these two memorials to me, they are family members, we are working on our family tree and would like to make corrections and additions to the memorials. Dewey Oliver Smith #84630124 and his wife Ellen D. Smith #84630069. Thank you.

|Bruce Hicks||RE: Re: Fraces Carroll's Obit|
Thanks! It's done.
|Bruce Hicks||Frances Carroll's Obituary|
I have no problem adding Mrs Carroll's obituary but per Find A Grave's guidelines: If the obituary is added to the memorial record, it should list the newspaper and date the obit was printed for example "Published in the Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Internet Edition, April 11, 2007".
If you provide that information I would be happy to add the obituary.

Thank you and the correction has been made.
I was wondering which one you descend from.
My father's great great grandfather, Fr. Peter Veulemans, the missionary on the Brig Caroline's manifest, brought his Veulemans aunts and uncles to TX and LA.
We visited our Veulemans cousins in Belgium a few years ago.
Peter left the priesthood and married in Halls, Buchanan County, MO and died there.
