Hi everyone. I'm a nurse by day or night (dependent on shift), part-time student, self-confessed crazy bulldog lady and manic family tree researcher when I've got some down time.|
Even though it doesn't state it, I've been volunteering for FindAGrave since the days of cameras that use film and photo requests that required envelopes and stamps. Talk about old style FindAGrave ;-)
If I have a family or friend's memorial(s) - just email me the memorial number(s) Or you can use the edit tab. You DO NOT have to prove how you're related. The only transfer requests that I will deny are my own family members.
Thank you to everyone who submits edits. The more accurate we can make this database, the better it is for everyone. Your time is sincerely appreciated.
I'm a proud descendant of the Archibald W. Chambers (Knox, IN) family, the Alexander and Rachel Chambers family of Lacon Illinois, the Humes, Palm, Turnbull and Cole families (Starke & Marshall counties IN) and the Knaack family of Chicago Illinois.
*I'm still working on the list for unknown burials in North Union Cemetery, Starke County Indiana. If you have any information on people buried (or possibly buried) there that are not on the cemetery roster, please email me. I've got pictures of stones that cannot be read by the naked eye so there are for sure additional people interred there that are not on the official list.

I have an outline of the cemetery with the Sections on it. I belong to the Starke County Genealogy Society. I believe in giving back and this is part of what I do.
I look forward to hearing from you.

I crossed referenced Find A Grave and our Cemetery Book II, (Starke County Genealogical Society)for North Union Cemetery. I have found people not on the list at Find A Grave...maybe we can work together on this...I am in Knox.

I have the Starke County Cemetery Books, I was up at the North Union Cemetery the other day trying to help someone find their relatives.
I decided to input the locations on the gravesites into Find A Grave.
I do no have pictures of headstones, but I did notice there are a lot of them unreadable and some are knocked over at the Cemetery. I will help you if I can. Let me know what you want.

Could you please transfer L.L. Williams, #81986868
over to me? He was my great-great grandfather.
Thank you very much!

Kellee, Thanka for the suggestions. I will do just that! Appreciate that you're sharing your experience on Findagrave. Thanks again for the updates, transfer and help.
Take care, Sunny
|Sunny L Lindley Johnson||RE: Henrietta Olson|
Thanks so much for the transfer of Henrietta Olson's memorial!
Since I wrote you, I found a short article on her husband's (Earle Olson) death which stated he was buried in the same cemetery, AND he died before her. I don't know what to make of that. If you hear of anything else on that matter, please let me know. I sincerely appreciate all you do!

Kellee, I added Jennie's mother's maiden name of Ramp. Thanks for the info. Do you want me to transfer her to you? These records belong with family whenever possible. I won't be able to do it much longer. Have no one to leave this responsibility to. Jane
|Jane Foster||RE: Rachel Chambers|
No wonder I did not find the tombstones. A couple of years ago a family member produced pictures of their family's stones that were taken years ago. Now the actual stones are missing. Wish I could do more - but I am 72 years old and can't do much physical labor anymore. There are probably more stones hidden under the grass and weeds. Jane
