Why genealogy? It's an "old people thing" right?? Who cares?? Who really wants to know???

Well, alot of us do - and believe it or not, there is a self-healing in knowing our people who came before us - who struggled to further their lives, which over time has lead us to where we are today. It's humbling to know that we are not unique ~ there have been others before us who have worked hard too, and every little mark they left on our history trail has ultimately led to this moment in time in our lives. We are definitely not alone in our travels.

Oh I was such a "baby" when I started my genealogical journey - I was going to write a letter to the Tulsa (Oklahoma) library, and boy-howdy, they were going to have all the answers I needed and just send everything back to me that I needed. Did I ever get an awakening - if you're here at this page and this site, you've already experienced at bit of this. If you need help (and we all do at some point in our search) reach out and ask - someone's always willing to help, and who knows, maybe you'll be able to help someone at some point in return.

Please note: Any photos that I take and post for the Find A Grave project for the use of family history research are given freely, and I hereby grant permission for the copy/download of said photos in the pursuit of your own research however, please be aware Find A Grave has posted rules governing the use and copywrite laws, etc. of their proprietary photographs and this permission does not extend beyond photographs personally taken & donated to the project by me.
