Are you related to the Titus line ? I am a great great grandson of Samuel W. Titus and his father is buried there also. Sylvanus Titus. I have a page on line for Samuel W. Titus, his son is buried in Salt River Cemetery, in Shepherd area.

|Susan M. Alexander||Margaret Englebert Grave Stone Inscription|
I took the picture of Margaret's tombstone that appears on here. I couldn't make out all of the inscription, but a friend, who knew the quote, helped me to figure it out.
The inscription on Margaret's tombstone reads as follows:
"Died June 9 1893 aged 77(?) yrs 2 m 5 d
A precious one from us has gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled"
Margaret was my ggg-grandmother. I am very happy to have found her grave.

|cnn||George & William McKenzie|
George Thomas McKenzie (#132927362) and William McKenzie (#132927524) who died on the steamer, General Lyon, were brothers. Their parents were Alexander Hill McKenzie and Margaret Ann Vineyard.
George was born about 1838 and married Mary A. McMurtry (McMurtrey) 23 Aug 1859 in White Co., IL. George & Mary had at least one son, Alex Douglas.
William was born about 1846 and to my knowledge was not married.
Their sister, Priscilla Vitura McKenzie Garrett Hargroves was my great-great-grandmother.
Thanks for adding and maintaining these two memorials.

|Natalie Woodall||Thomas Moore|
Hi! I notice your entry for Mr. Moore doesn't have a death date. Since I am researching the 110th Regiment, I can help. He died on June 16, 1914 in Oswego. You will find his obituary in Oswego Daily Times, June 16, 1914, page 5. Are you familiar with Fultonhistory.com? It's a bit cumbersome but very useful once you get the hang of it. That is where you can find his obituary. Best regards, Natalie J. Woodall
