My husband is so understanding as we do our genealogy, plus stopping at cemeteries to fulfill photo requests for other people. |
I retired in 2007 from Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Commission, Lincoln, Nebraska. My husband retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army and then from Nebraska Corrections.
If you find any mistakes, want additional information or an obituary added, please send the suggestion through the edit tab on the memorial and I will revise &/or add the information. Since many volunteers create memorials that aren't relatives, it makes it much easier if we don't have to go "hunting" for the memorial you are referring to.
If you are wanting a transfer please let me know your relationship; I don't follow the Find A Grave guidelines, but please let me know if it's a relative, close friend, classmate, etc. OR I will not transfer the memorial to you. If it is a relative of either my husbands or mine, I will also not transfer the memorial.
IF YOU REQUEST A TRANSFER, BE SURE YOU ARE COMMITTED TO A LIFETIME OF MAINTAINING THE MEMORIAL. UNFORTUNATELY A FEW OF MY OLDER TRANSFERS ARE MAINTAINED BY CONTRIBUTORS WHO NO LONGER RESPOND.
EDITS SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE THE SOURCE.
A BIG thank you to all of the fellow findagravers that add my suggestions, and, especially, the obits so that many individuals can benefit from them on their search.
Please consider any pictures that I have taken as yours...I am the messenger and believe that they belong to the family.

I had made a request for a photo for Malanthen M. Cook who is buried in the Clay Center Cemetery. I got a notice that they have no record for him there. I have the list for the Clay Center Cemetery (& I remember we worked on that together) and HE IS ON THE LIST. I have no exact burial plot.
Would you be so kind and check this out? Don't make a separate trip there but when you happen through Clay Center.
Thanks so much!

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a wonderful surprise the transfer of Seth Judd Kellogg to our care was. You made my day.
We appreciate the time you took to make his memorial.
Thank you for all you do and for helping us with our family.
Find A Grave is a great site but only because of people like you.

Hi Peggy. I noticed that you manage the memorial page for Benjamin Franklin Kain and I am wondering if he might be the same Ben Kain who was a sweetheart of my mom's in high school in Dillsburg, PA in the early 1930's (graduating class of 1933). If so, I have a few pictures of him that I'd like to post to his memorial page, if I may.

Since there is an inscription on her memorial page and since it looks like the base of a stone is in the area, it does appear that she had a stone at one time. You might want to contact the church office or caretaker to see if they know anything more. I remember several years ago when I was at the cemetery, I saw a grouping of stones back by the caretaker's house. It appeared to me that these were possibly stones that had fallen or were broken and needed repaired and replaced.

I added a photo of the plot area for Mary A. George who died in 1878. She is buried in the same plot as Eli George, P George, Mary M. George (1860-1902) and Pernih George (1839-1909). The only stone that is standing of the above named is Pernih George. To the right of that stone there is a large space with no stones and a spot where a stone used to be.

I want to thank your for your informative memorials. I especially like to see the death certificates as they give creditability to the DOB and DOD. It also helps expand the search when shows the parents and Mothers maiden name.
Peggy - Thank you for the transfers I do appreciate them and the work you have done so that I could find more relatives. Peggy
