I discovered Find A Grave while searching for the grave of my grandfather's brother. This simple little search sent me on a mission to search for my ancestors and get some of my family history on Find A Grave. Once I got hooked on genealogy, I decided I could help others by adding names to the site so that sent me onto my new "hobby" - photographing graves, and now I am totally addicted. I hope my work on Find A Grave will help others in their search or allow them to "visit" a loved one's grave.
I'm not one of those people who think they give a prize for managing the most memorials. If you have any connection to someone that I have created a memorial for, I will gladly transfer it, as long as they are not in my tree.
The Bismarck Tribune did a very nice article on my cemetery project a while back. Click Here to view the article.
I have set up a Tribalpages family tree. Click on the link below to view it.
If I have taken a photograph of your ancestor's tombstone and it is of poor quality (shadows/overgrown with grass/hard to read/etc), please let me know and I will see what I can do about taking a better one. Some markers do not photograph well no matter what the angle of the sun is.

 | Tosseth Thank you for the pictures of the Tosseth's marker. I am not related but they were the parents to my good friend. Sorry about the blank message - I hit the back button and it posted. :0) | | | doug kitzan
 | RE: Phoenix Township cemetery Hi Brian, Thanks for letting me know that you had found the Phoenix Cemetery. I also went down several section line roads looking for it. Would you happen to have the GPS cordinates for it? I have found some really interesting sites and info since I became involved with Find A Grave. Regards, Doug Kitzan | | | PKD
 | RE: Ruth Swartz photo request Not sure if I answered but thanks for checking, she was my Grams sister and people always mistook one for the other, they were farmers so I guess back then there wasn't money to put a marker, she was 28 I believe when she got sick and died.

 | RE: Ruth Swartz photo request Thanks so much for check, she was my great aunt and was a look alike to my Gram. She died when she was about 28 of bronchial phneumonia, its a shame her parents didn't have the money for a marker.
The whole family is gone now for that generation.
I really appreciate your taking the time to research it also. I'll mark my Ancestry page that there is no marker.
