I hope that my entries aid you in finding your family! My PRIMARY INTENT is to get the information up from the stones & records for those that haven't found the burial spots of their loved ones and to preserve information from these stones. Please note, many are put up from cemetery records...as is. I'm aware that there are many errors in these records, but I rarely make assumptions as to proper spelling, etc. with the exception of death month which is often based on interment date. Generally speaking, I do not research each memorial. |
Any photos I have posted are gifts - free for family or friends to use as you please for non-commercial purposes. I have also assumed responsibility for many memorials from inactive/deceased contributors so just because they've been transferred to me doesn't mean they are my relatives. I would be happy to transfer any of your relative's memorials I have created that are unrelated to me. I'd prefer they be with someone in their family or someone with a connection to complete a more fitting memorial!
I'm human, I make mistakes. If you find some, please use the edit button on the memorial to advise me. Kindness & patience are virtues - I am not retired and have young children, but will address emails as soon as I can. ***I cannot guarantee edits sent to me. I accept edits as long as it doesn't change information at which time I try to confirm the information before accepting.
A special THANK YOU to those who visit my family. I TRULY appreciate it - it means the world to me!:

*~* MY SPECIAL FAMILY FINDS: *~*
After 35+ years of research, I finally found:
My GG-Grandfather Gustave "Gus" Werner in May of 2012 as well as his twin baby girls and 2 more of his baby granddaughters. (thanks to FindAGrave & J F-B)
My GGG-Grandparents Joseph Newby and his wife Letitia Hastie (Dark) Newby in August of 2012 (good old fashioned research).
Another GG-Grandfather William Lewis Horn found March 6, 2013 going through old funeral home records. Cemetery records were destroyed for June 1, 1914 to October, 1920. He died June 15, 1914. Go figure! :)
My GG-Grandmother Jessie Fremont Lane Nelson in January of 2014. (thanks to a FindAGrave friend Mixmastermom)
My Family Ties:
Hoffman, Cain, Willy, Fischer, Werner, Horn, Newby, Schuyler, VanVechten, TenBroeck, Roosevelt, Bush, Frawley, Nelson, Hannagan, Lane, McCormick, Sassenrath
~ My FaG Projects: ~
I'm currently working on photographing & documenting burials in (primarily) 4 Wyandotte County, KS cemeteries. ***Please note - Month is often interment month or death date may be interment date and "NOTE" is often funeral home/interment date. I am also going through old funeral home records in an effort to fill in some blanks in these old cemeteries.
*** Mount Hope - ALL memorials from cemetery records are posted.
*** Quindaro - ALL memorials from cemetery records are posted. (I used a spreadsheet on this one & many duplicates were not caught)
*** Woodlawn - ALL memorials from cemetery records are posted.
*** Oak Grove - About 95% of memorials are posted. Please note that many of the dates appear to be off a year. Be creative in your searches with spelling as well.
I also do some work in Memorial Park, Highland Park, Chapel Hill, St John's & Mt Calvary & anywhere else in the area that the wind blows me that day. :)

"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit." ~ Harry S Truman
"A Genealogist must have the patience of Job; the curiosity of a cat; the stubbornness of a mule; the eyesight of an eagle; be blessed with the luck of the Irish and have the ability and stamina of a camel to go long hours without food or drink." ~ The Herald, Vol.18, No. 3 & 4; 1995
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Mr. Hall (Find A Grave# 90194985), is my mother-in-law's biological father. He passed from congestive heart failure when she was 5 years old. I'd like to manage his memorial if it would be okay with you.
thanks for all you do!

So very nice of you to reply. I really appreciate your help and your time. No hurry at all. If I don't hear from you, I will contact you again in a couple weeks. Thank you again!
|Joyce H. Jackson||Robert-Hueben|
I just know you must be related to the “Robert” and “Hueben” families you have indicated. I have spent hours reading your information. It is beautifully formatted and contains such excellent information and the photos are wonderful. I seen on your Bio you are related to Martha Emila Werner’s father, Gustave. Martha Emilia’s husband being Francis Walter Hueben.
I have a question I would like to ask you, if you are a descendant of these families. My grandfather, Hugh Leavey’s mother was Rosa Louisa Hanauer and her sister, Anna Marie Hanauer married Francis (Frank) Xavier Robert. Francis Xavier and Nicolas Robert traveled together on the ship Abyssinia and arrived at the port of New York together on May 7, 1879. Frank Xavier was born 1866 in Germany and Nicolas Robert was born in 1858.
Nicolas Robert and Katherine Notterman had a daughter, Anna Katherine Robert that married Francis Henry Hueben. Both Nicolas and Francis Xavier lived and died in Kansa City, Wyandotte, Kansas. There appears to be a relationship between Francis Xavier and Nicolas Robert and my question is, do you know what that relationship might be? Any help you can offer will be so appreciated.
