Greetings enthusiasts! A librarian by trade, I love research and genealogy. I am mostly interested in the Keller and Klevorn families (my mother's maiden name is Klevorn). As I come upon other people of interest, I add them also.|
I am of the opinion that cemeteries are places to honor and remember the dead; they are also places of healing and forgiveness. Our faith tells us that individuals who die in God's grace are part of the "Communion of Saints" -- to this end we need to approach this work with much reverence.
Fidelium animę, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen.
All ye, who would honor
The saints and their Head,
To pray for the dead;
And they in return,
From their misery freed,
To you will be friends
In the hour of need.

Thank you so much for your kind assistance with Hazel Clare Green Merker. We sincerely appreciate your help.
Thanks for all the great photos you just posted. I'll be sending you an email.
Hey Steve, how are you doing? Unfortunately I am not part of a G+ community, however I am a part of some cemetery photography groups on Facebook. Are you on facebook? Add me as a friend if you are!!
Steve, I can't thank you enough for posting my great-grandparents' (Henry and Carrie Rudesill Mischke) headstone photo from Mt. Hope cemetery. Your efforts to help people with their family research are greatly appreciated.

Greg has done all the work and research. He emails to me to copy and paste in the Bio. Lately he has had me transfer the memorials to him and he does the adding.
Will get with him and check the entries.

I was providing information to update the memorial of Elbert Theron Couch Jr. (115401736) and noted duplicate memorials for his parents.
Elbert Theron Couch Sr. has memorials 118338855 and 109782511 and his wife Ova Couch has memorials 118339016 and 109782447. The other contributor was Lucy Higgins and I am also sending her a message.

Your Very Welcome!!! My pleasure. I am enjoying the pictures and history you posted. I have more to enter but the last request was not there. Wonder if she is next to her husband in Missouri?
|Martin Wood||Gertrude (Helen) More|
Born, Helen More on 25 March 1606, she took the name Sister Gertrude when she entered the Monastery of Our Lady of Comfort/Consolation at Cambrai in Flanders. After her profession she became Dame Gertrude More.
Dame Gertrude died on 17 August 1633 and was buried in the cemetery of the Augustinian Canons Regular at Cambrai.
Helen's parents were Cresacre More (1572-1647)and his wife Elizabeth Gage (1585-1610).
Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Gage (1541-1591) and his wife Elizabeth Guldeford.
Thomas Gage was the third of the nine sons of Sir Edward Gage of Firle Place, Sussex.

I was sure hoping you'd know what to do :) Guess we should just leave things as they are until we can do some research and find out for sure.
Thank you so much, and we wish your and yours a great Easter, too! Take care, Barb

|Russell Massey||RE: cemetery records|
That is going to be difficult. The information I got from my mother is that she is buried there. If Dean, the record keeper of the cemetery, has an index of the burials, that might help; if not, I will check with the Belleville Library and have them check their obituary index.
If you're out and about near the Mt. Hope cemetery, would you mind taking a picture of my grandparents' headstone and post it to their memorial that I have set up on Find a Grave? I would appreciate it very much. Their names are Frank C. Daubach (13 Nov 1965) and Alma Daubach (18 Dec 1944). They are in Section J in the same row as my father, Seth A. Massey Jr. Thank you Russell
