Since you have taken over their sites, I assume they are family. I have original news article of their 50th anniversary, found in my great grandmother's news clippings collection. Happy to pass it along.

Yes, thank you. Can you please link her to her parents--father 30241379, mother 119796318 and spouse 46045784 if not already linked. Thanks so much for helping reunite this family.

RE: Martha Flagg Severance's death date
You are correct. There is a mix up somewhere. Maybe two Martha Severance? I haven't untangled it yet

New Hampshire, Marriage Records Index, 1637-1947 - Martha married Rufus Severance on 4/20/1785

1840 Census has her in Sullivan, New Hampshire.

However, the Massachusetts, Town and Vital Records, 1620-1988 for Martha Flagg wife of Rufus shows her death in 9/5/1790

Record of Deaths In Worcester, From 1717 to 1825 shows Martha, wife of Rufus died on 9/5/1790

Message of speculation has been added:

While it is probable that Rufus and Martha are buried at this cemetery, no record or stone has been located yet.

RE: Severance
Hi Joan,

The reference to Rufus Severance and Martha Flagg comes from Severance Genealogy by David C. Dewsnap, Heritage Books, Inc. 1995.

In this book, it is said that Rufus and Martha were buried in East Washington - but it does not specify the name of a cemetery. There are currently two cemeteries in East Washington, but one of them is too new to have been around when Rufus and Martha died. The only other possibility is that they were buried on a private property plot somewhere.
