I am interested in preserving information about my ancestors, family and friends for the future generations. My main family lines are Franks/Phillips/Ingle/Martin. I am currently photographing and adding memorials for Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, Rock Island County, IL.|
A special thank you to Angie for the transfer of my parents and Rebekah for the transfer of my maternal grandparents:
George "Willis" Phillips
Dora Elizabeth Franks Phillips
And thank you to someone I do not know for the transfer of my paternal grandparents:
William "Bill" Denton Martin
Patience "Effie" Ann Ingle Martin.
My Grandparents lived in Marion County, AL in the Pea Ridge Community. I have many fond memories of them. I was fortunate to have known all four of my grandparents and three of my great-grandparents.
And thank you to rebekah for the transfer of my Uncle Thomas Leonard Phillips who was killed in action in World War II.
I have kept records through the years, and have pictures I want to share. A photo tells a story. All photos I submit to findagrave are taken by me or handed down through my family. These photos may be used for your personal use.
I want to help other people find their family.
While searching cemeteries for my relatives, I have added memorials for people not related to me in hopes that family members will find them. If you are closer related than I, I will gladly transfer.
Those that have passed before us are more than a name and date. My goal is to have "meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
If only a year is shown on the headstone, dates are taken from the USSS Death Index . Information from obituaries is not always correct. If there are any mistakes, please let me know. I always appreciate and welcome additional information. If I have accidently created a duplicate, PLEASE let me know. If someone has added a photo that is of better quality, I will gladly delete mine.
Thank you to all who are dedicated to preserving our history.
If you have any questions, please contact me using the edit tab on any of the memorials that I manage or leave a message below.

|Laurie Kaden||Dear Martha|
I'm a little new at how to make photo requests through Findagrave, but am compiling my family genealogy.
I wonder how I might be able to request four (4) grave markers at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL:
1. Mae Cornmesser (1910-1979)
2. Evelyn Groene (1889-1971)
3. Carl A. Groene (1906-1967)
4. Carl E. Groene (1930-2007)
I believe Carl E. Groene and Mae Cornmesser share a headstone.
Kindly let me know if you can do this for me! Just a digital photograph of each marker, squarely shot, and with no date stamp in the corner of the photo. Thank you! Laurie Kaden (email@example.com)
|Jen||Eleanor Grenelle Murrray|
Wow! Thanks so much for adding the info to Eleanor's memorial...you're fast! Also, thank you for all of your time, caring and effort as a volunteer. You're worth your weight in gold!

|Michael Gravitt||Darrel Gravitt Memorial|
Thanks for the transfer of Darrel Gravitt's memorial and for sending his obituary. Darrel was my dad's first cousin. They were very close.
|Michael Gravitt||RE: Gravitt Memorials|
Thank you for the information. Elisha Denton Franks is my 4th great-grandfather.
|Michael Gravitt||RE: Gravitt Memorials|
Thank you. You seem to know a lot about the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery in Rock Island, IL. I've been told that my great-grandparents are buried there. Their names are John H. Hinkel and Katherine Majerus Hinkel. Can you confirm that? Also, my family comes from Marion County, Alabama. The Wards, Parrs, Berryhills, McCalebs, Shireys, Franks, Murrahs. Some of the Wards are buried in Rock Island Memorial Park.
Thanks Martha, for all the pic of the different Vogel family stones!
