RE: Mary Ann Jones Callahan
Hi Karen,

If you have an Ancestry account I have a tree on there that has the "circumstantial" evidence. It's kind of too detailed to go into in a message but entails proximity of family members in several census records, Jones kids living with the Callahan family, Mary Callahan living near married Jones daughter across several states - that sort of thing. Also, nobody else appears to have any background for the Mary Jones that married James Callahan.

Mary Ann Jones Callahan
I have a strong suspicion that Mary Ann Jones Callahan #32181697 may be my 2nd great grandmother through her first husband, Allen Jones, based on a census in Arkansas showing her newly married to Callahan with two older Jones children. If this is she, her maiden name would have been Magness. Do you have any personal knowledge of the family to be able to either support or refute that theory? Any information or comments would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Carol Jones

Ayers Grandchild
Ayers family
Karen,

I am Phylis Ayers Golden. My Father was Bill Ayers (Wm.) (1925), his father was Charley Ayers (1872), and his father was Charles Ayers (can't remember date in early 1800s).

My father had 9 siblings. Don't know if you are kin to any of us.

Charley was born in Yallabusha (sp?) Miss. His father was, I believe, from The Carolinas. His mother was Susan Hazard from Tennessee.

I have a sister named Susan and she's the historian in our family. Let me know whence you came and maybe we can help track out roots.

~Phyl

Happy that I could help. I know how great it can be to finally see the headstone.

You are welcome. I'd be glad to transfer the Rabke memorials to you if you'd like. I'm not related.

Weir & Camp connection
Hello, I'm helping a friend trace her roots. She has an ancestor by the name of Valinda Evaline Camp Weir. She marriedThomas Calvin Weir in 1858. Saw you had left flowers at Valinda's twin sister's memorial. I think you and my friend make share the same tree as well. You can reach me direct at judyrw@sbcglobal.net.
Regards, Judy
