RE: Eva (Era) Jane Birchfield
If you visit the memorial I created, there is a photo of the record there that indicates Van Sickle Cemetery, I hope it is of help to you.

RE: Eva (Era) Jane Birchfield
Hello, I went out toward Van Sickle Cemetery today to have a look at the access road. It's still blocked by a gate put up by the state, but its unlocked and I could've gone around it with the ATV I had, it appeared though that someone had recently been out it with a fairly large vehicle.

RE: Eva (Era) Jane Birchfield
Thank you for all of this information, I have updated her memorial.

I saw the article about Mr. West in the newspaper last week and took something of an interest in the cemetery and later when I was going through records I came across Eva Birchfield and went ahead and added her.

No, I have not been out to the cemetery, but I live in the area and would be interested in visiting and photographing it some time, only I have no idea of the best way to get to it, from the article it sounds as if it is very difficult to arrive at.

I am distantly related to the Van Sickles. My ancestor Henry Van Meter Jr. 1773-1857 married a Christine Van Sickle b. around 1770, the daughter of Samuel Van Sickle b. abt. 1750 and Sarah Thompson, I have no further information on them. My ancestry username is litchfieldk19, I would appreciate very much the invite you mentioned. Thank you.

RE: Two Christian Lepperts
I am so sorry I missed your message until today!

I will make it a point to stop by the cemetery in the next few days to photograph some of the other Leppert stones. There is a VERY handy online website that shows all the registered names for the plots as well as their physical locations. The only issue is that the site doesn't provide any dates and doesn't even mean that the person was ever even buried there. I've found instances of incorrect information. So, I'm cautious about adding an entry on Find A Grave unless I've physically seen the headstone or have further information that supports the burial took place. Some plots were probably purchased for a spouse or child and then they decided to be buried elsewhere later in years.

If you see any graves you would wish for me to locate let me know; http://maps.dublin.oh.us/cemeteries/dublincemetery.html

As you can see by the "photo" some plots do not have stones. The blue squares are also off just slightly I have found. But helpful!

RE: Photo Use Request
I all ready have. It is dated March 9, 2009. Primarily focuses on the children of Leon Isador Hummer, his first wife, Susan Stein; and his second wife, Mary Leona Hinchey. I have the original Hummer from Luxembourg. Although the family considers themselves German. This copy was only shared with family members that provided me with information. It is not in any library and no electronic copy is available. If you travel, I would recomend visiting the St. Boniface Church, New Reigel, Ohio. The Hummers were founders of this church. One of the stained glass windows in the choir section should have the Hummer name on it as a donor. I have not yet seen this myself.

RE: Photo Use Request
I am also related to Leon I. Hummer and have a book in print. Feel free to contact the archivist at Hummer Park on Fairview Avenue in Downers Grove Illinois for further information on Otto Hummer.

Yes, you may use my photos for private use. I am sure we are distantly related.
