|Just a guy that enjoys history and thinks that history and geneology are an important part of our lives. I was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, and now I live outside of Houston, Texas. At home, I am trying to get as many local cemeteries listed as possible. I am currently focusing on "forgotten" and out of the way cemeteries in East Texas. I also travel quite a bit with my job, so in the evenings on the road, I visit local cemeteries and try to fulfill photo requests. I also travel back to Western PA frequently and try to get cemeteries there.|
I try my best to try and find out as much as possible about each person using public records, obituaries, etc. However, I know that I will make mistakes. PLEASE let me know if there are any errors so that I can correct them.
Transfers: Please follow the FAG guidelines for transfers. If the person memorialized is not a direct relative - as defined by FAG - please do not ask for transfers.
The greatest thing about love is that no matter how many ways you divide it, it never gets smaller.

Thank you for responding to me. I appreciate your kindness.

The information about the plot not being used was came directly from Earthman Funeral Home when I called them wanting to buy the death year marker for the headstone. I'm not quite sure where the 2002 death date came from and even less sure I supplied it because it's not in my records. But if she has recently died, I'm heartbroken not to have found her before her death. I loved her dearly. If you have current correct information, please supply it to Richard Hollis who maintains the memorial on Find A Grave. You have my gratitude for making things right for Aunt Lavalla.

During the Korean War, I met Lloyd Calvin Istre, called "Lucky" at that time. He was serving aboard the USS Los Angeles, light cruiser, docked in Long Beach, Ca. I was a volunteer hostess with the USO at the time and became good friends with Lucky. When he was discharged from the Marines, he invited me to come to Texas to meet his family, but I was too young at the time and couldn't go. I often wonder what life might have brought the two of us had I disobeyed my parents and run to Texas. I am saddened to learn that Lucky was deceased at such a young age. I can't imagine what might have caused that other than an accident. If there is any way you might put me in touch with his family members, I would be grateful. You can reach me at the email address, firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone: 714/374-3821. I wrote a letter to Gary, who I believe might be his son, but I am not sure I have the current and correct address. Thank you and God bless your efforts for so many. Ruby Jo Wilson-Wood
I am a direct descendant of Samuel Hoy Smith. I just wondered where you found Anthony, Jerimhia, William, Mary and Robert.
We have been looking for proof in public records quite literally for a hundred years.
If you found these on Ancestry in my file it is the families best information, just hoping you found other references. Several OHIO histories list these siblings also.

Ok, thanks, it was a shot in the dark.

Hi Rick, I was wondering if this is Joannes daughter. Did Debra move to the Austin area in the mid 80's? If so, I knew her quite well. Thanks
not sure that link will work, her Find A Grave number is 41507831.

Because the death certificate shows one spelling and the links (made by other people) show a different spelling.

Thanks for the heads up, Rick. I made the appropriate changes.

Thanks, Rick. I didn't think that was your personality. I just think you don't need to tell people what to do. Asking them to do it comes across better :)) Blessings~

Thanks for noticing the duplicate. No need to be unkind, though.
