I am part of a project to research the history, "residents" and eventually to record all inscriptions in Gravesend Cemetery, Kent. I am happy to take photo requests for this cemetery as I am a frequent visitor there. I am always interested to hear from anyone with any information about interesting people buried there, (they certainly don't have to be "famous"!)

I am always willing to transfer ownership of my memorials to relatives.

William Fenner 1780-1869
I have just realised the entry :

Manufacturer of "Tunbridge Ware", a type of wood craft sold to visitors in the eighteenth century.

Is still there .

This is incorrect. William Fenner of the Tunbridge Ware is Wm. Fenner the Tunbridge Ware Manufacturer 1766-1827 and is buried in Frant cemetery with the rest of his relatives.
Would you be able to correct that first part of the entry. The rest which I submitted is correct.

RE: Christopher Hinkley 1916-1987
Hi James
I need to know what record Hastings Cemetery has of Christopher Hinkley to determine whether he has a cremation plaque or in memoriam identifier.
As the office at Hastings Cemetery is not open at weekends and I work during the week - I am not able to check with them.
If you contact them on 01424 451057 or email cemandcrem@hastings.gov.uk you could ask them to let you know on supplying dob and dod etc.
Let me know how you get on - I am happy to go and photograph with a reference - the cemetery is very large and without a reference it will be nigh on impossible.

Regards Helen

Christopher Hinkley 1916-1987
Just checking to see if you still require a photo of the cremation plaque/other memorial for the Christopher Hinkley 1916-1987 who was cremated at Hastings Crematorium?
I notice that the request has been outstanding since 2012 and I can try and identify it if you are still needing it - let me know?

Thanks

H James
