I welcome corrections and additional information on any memorial that I have posted. FindAGrave is a wonderful resource for loved ones and family researchers, so I want the information to be as complete and accurate as possible.

One reason I take gravestone photos, do research and compile data is to share the results with anyone who would like to use the information. Therefore, any photographs I have taken and posted and/or any information that I have posted on FindAGrave may be used freely by any person for non-commercial, personal, family history and/or genealogy purposes. It is not necessary to ask my permission or give me credit.

Currently writing two family history books (1) "From Whence We Came: The McGirts of Robeson County NC" and (2) "The Groome Family of Groometown-Guilford County, North Carolina" (Caswell, Rockingham and Guilford counties). Please feel free to contact me if you have information on these families.

I've linked him to his parents and added his obituary. Thanks for the information.

I have added your information. I have added part of his military records and the area of the cemetery he is buried in. Do you have his military records?

McBrayer or Macbrayer in Forest Lawn

I saw his parents markers after I sent that edit. The records for them show it spelled MacBrayer...but I have no idea what is on actually on their marker. That maybe an error. You can reject that one.

Thank you for adding all the plot locations.

RE: Mount Zion United Methodist Church
Hi, Any chance you've started to delete your memorials that are not really the duplicates at this cemetery? I haven't approached Find A Grave edit yet. Happy New Year! MA

Mount Zion United Methodist Church
Hi, Could you please look at your contributions to Mount Zion United Methodist Church cemetery? It appears that Anonymous has added a lot of duplicates to your memorials. If you could add the information from the gravestones, I will ask them to move their photos to your memorials which pre-date hers/his. Thanks so much, MA

McGirt family descendant
HI!! I am browsing the internet looking for something and stumbled upon this website with information about my "family." I am a descendant of the McGirts - via my father, Leon Gene Miller, son of Carson Benton Miller and Ella Lucille Bass, and grandson to Carson Alexander Miller and Beulah Benton McGirt. This is so interesting to me to find information about family heritage. Thank you for starting this journey and hopefully we will be able to have some contact (I also sent you an email). Just Plain Nosy
McKinnon Cemetery
Hey there! :)

I have passed by this cemetery a thousand times and this week is the first time I ever stopped to have a look. I had no idea what the name of it was or who was there. I found a couple of people I was distantly related to though. SCORE! LOL

I didn't get everybody there. It clouded up on me and I had to leave. Some of those old stones are unreadable whether it's cloudy or sunny. I'd like to go back and finish up sometime.

Let me know if I have posted anybody else you recognize and I'll fix 'em and transfer 'em.

Thanks! :)
