I hold no dream of fortune vast, nor seek undying fame. I do not ask when life is past that many know my name. And I can live my life on earth contended to the end, if but a few shall know my worth and proudly call me friend. by Edgar A. Guest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PHOTO REQUEST TIP: Please make it easier on volunteers and make it more respectful for the cemetery staff by calling ahead and getting your loved one's exact grave location prior to making a photo request. While in an office waiting to get a map there are sometimes other people waiting and making funeral arrangements. It feels so wrong to bother them with my minor requests for someone's grave location. By calling ahead it gives the staff a better opportunity to serve you with your request and others' with their arrangements at the appropriate times. Besides, some cemetery staff are not so willing to provide grave locations to someone who isn't related. Thanks. :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Note: If I have added a memorial and you would like to manage it instead don't hesitate to let me know and I will gladly transfer it to you. And, if I have made any errors or you have a suggestion again, please let me know. | |

 | RE: Joshua Bernstein Sorry for the speedbump in your search. I'm happy to try elsewhere if you get another lead. Apologies if I'm telling you something you already know, but you might phone or write to the Jewish Cemetery Association of Massachusetts (JCAM). They manage (and have a database for) a large number of Jewish cemeteries in the Boston area, particularly the smaller cemeteries created long ago by now-defunct congregations, or by craft guilds, or by landsmanschaften, or whatever, including the one you thought your g-g-grandfather was in. They can probably tell you if they have him anywhere in their system. [JCAM, 189 Wells Ave, Newton, MA 02459, phone (617)244-6509, website www.jcam.org ] The larger congregational and for-profit cemeteries are, sadly, not part of a unified database...
