Lost Family
I see where you left a note on Grace Marie Wheeler. Her Mother was my Dad's aunt by marriage. His Mother was Maggie/Maynie Heffernan. who passed away during the flu epidemic in 1918 in Texas somewhere. Do you know of any one by this name. She was married to my Grandfather John H Mayfield. I have a picture of her holding my Dad, taken just before she died. They had a daughter that died around the same time. She married my Grandfather at an early age. I believe her Father was a James Heffernan from around Hallettsville. Thank you for any info you might have.

Elizabeth Covalt at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetary
Mr. Tarte,

Elizabeth Schelper (Metzger) Covalt was my paternal grandmother (she remarried James Covalt who is also buried, although separately, at FSH National Cemetery.) By what basis, if any, do you have for listing her as MSGT, US AIR FORCE?

Ernest Ray Roach
Hello! I saw that you left flowers for Ernest' memorial. I am curious how you are related. His wife, Georgia Steiner, is my husbands aunt. I have a question about his obit and there being only one surviving daughter. Lisa McDowell, I would love to hear from you!
