If I have added a family member or a good friend, I am happy to transfer memorials. I am not bothered by F.A.G. guidelines in transfers. I am concerned about getting family members "back together." I DO transfer distant relatives since they SHOULD be with family.
I am also happy to transfer memorials of close friends as well as family.

REMEMBER, these sites are in memory of someones' ancestors. If you place a photo on a memorial, make it good enough that you would be happy with it on your own.

All men die...not all men really live.

I am looking for Charles & Flo Liddington. Flo died in 1972. Charlie was alive in 1974. They were my mothers' mother & step-father.
I believe they lived modestly within a half hour of Danville, PA. Also, I am searching for any info regarding the roster for the 33rd or 34th Battalions of the Maryland Militia. An ancestor I am searching for, Thomas Mock, who served with this unit in New Jersey in 1777 under George Washington. He had a wife names Sarah and parents were George & Catherine Mock. They were from "SUPPOSEDLY" living between Sharpsburg and Middletown, Washington & Fredrick County, MD.

deleted memorials
not sure how many others did the same, but I sent a note to Find A Grave about trying to restore the deleted memorials, they have recovered 47824 and said that is the best they can do.

if you recreated any in edge hill (or other places) and it is now a duplicate, they said send them a merge request (to 3 per email, 20 emails max per day) with old and new # and they will merge into the new one.

any pics he added and the bios/notes were stripped, and in most cases it looks like the links are gone, but at least the name and date is back and we just need to get new photos and redo whatever links we can figure out.

Gant William Miller
I would be glad to remove my posting for Gant if you would update the information from my posting to yours and link Gant to his parents on my postings. I will keep my Gant up for a while to give you time to make the changes. If you have questions, please drop me a line.

RE: Elizabeth Holmes McKeever
Thank you for making the changes to your post for Elizabeth Holmes McKeever.
I thought I had mentioned that this is my son-in-laws relation. I had done research on his family and found a book of the Holmes genealogy that I got my information from.
Not sure where the information on all the other children for Elizabeth Holmes McKeever came from but I appreciate your adding the information I had posted.
I will look to find out how to delete the posting that I had made.
Thank you,

RE: Elizabeth Holmes McKeever
This person is my son-in-laws family. He is a Holmes descendant.
My concern is that the information on your site is different from mine: For instance the list of children is not the same. I got my information from a family tree that was published by a relative of my son-in-law, so I'm not sure what is accurate and what is not (although I did go through census records to check out some of the information in the book) . The contributor named Myta is the person that wrote Find A Grave and wanted the "duplicate" data removed. I don't know who this person is and communication with her is "Blocked". I don't know what here relationship is, and where her information came from.
I'm not sure what to do. Do you have any ideas?

I received a message from Find a Grave generated by "Myta" that said that a grave I had added was a duplicate of one that
you added.
Find A Grave contributor myta has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Elizabeth McKeever.

Their suggestion:
This is a duplicate of #73899242.
When I look at the two postings they are not totally identical. There is information from the family genealogy that I put on my post (85142118) that is not on your post (73899242) and visa versa. I'm not sure of how to handle the melding of the two, but if you would be willing to update your post with the additional information from my post I can delete mine.

RE: Joseph Evans
Thanks, that helps a lot. I do not have proof of a date of death for Joseph, but at least I know he could not have fought in either battle. I will contact the person who set up the memorial.

Thanks for all your information and your hard work,
Linda Cook

Dr. Henry Clay Beckham (#142880195)

Many thanks for allowing me to repost your gravestone picture. Although the memorial says the picture was added by "bioengineer", if one clicks on the picture they will learn that it is your picture and was posted with your permission.

Dr. Henry Clay Beckham (#142880195)
In the past, you added an excellent gravestone picture for this Confederate physician. Unfortunately, his memorial was deleted by the creator and with it went the picture. I have recreated a memorial for Dr. Beckham (#142880195). Would you happen to have a copy of your gravestone photo and if so, would you add it to the new memorial? If you don't have it, I saved a copy before the memorial was deleted, but I want you to get full credit for it.

Thanking you in advance,

F. Terry Hambrecht, M.D. (a.k.a., bioengineer)

RE: Joseph Evans
Yes, thank you. The information was very helpful. I'm still concerned about his date of death being January 1862. South Mountain was fought Sept 1862, right?
Also, I have some discrepancies with the memorial on Find-a-grave. To whom would I address those questions?

Joseph Evans
I am descended from Mary M Evans Cook who was a sister to Joseph Evans. Can you tell me more about the number that appears on the tombstone of Joseph Evans (it looks like 3398, but I can't be sure). Several sources in Ancestry indicate that he died at the Battle of Antietam and some indicate the Battle of Chancelorsville, both of which occurred after his death.
How can we be sure that the Joseph Evans buried in the Antietam National Cemetery is the same Joseph Evans from Dubois County IN?
