Hello! I'm Robert (aka "Cenantua"), and I'm a native and resident of the Shenandoah Valley. I've spent a good deal of my life focused on history and the people in it, especially as it relates to my own people in the past. In my eyes, grave hunting and history have always been linked, and it may be that grave hunting actually led me deeper into my quest for expanding my knowledge and understanding of history and the people who played a part in it. Most of my entries or requests for changes of existing memorials in Find-a-Grave relate to my ancestors, relatives, or Civil War era interests.|

I was wondering how to add information to your Clear Spring Boys in Blue cemetery? Alexander Shannon Mullin was my 3rd great grandfather and was in the civil war. He is buried in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery in clear spring. He was also in the Mexican War.

He was wonderful to employ us little kids. We might have eaten more than we put in the box. We lived across the road and very near the water tower. We called his place "Little Jerusleum". There is still part of the wall remaining. I go by it every time I go home.
This memorial was made burial unknown which according to find a grave rules is only allowed for thirty days . I see you are related to this person if you email me at email@example.com I will send you his death certificate which will give you his burial location and his correct day of passing

I was afraid it worked that way , no sense in saying anything to that party as I would imagine they are the same one making the memorials without any burial locations

Can you tell me how and where you got the information on Francis Pike. He is from my lineage. We had some written information that his father Francis Pike married a Catherine Repp but I haven't found anything on her, but I did find him married to a Mary Haver not Hower. Now I'm confused. Not that that's out of the ordinary. I'm putting a book together on my Pike's and have done a DNA study. I'm trying to put this section of my book together. I take it Francis died as a result of his injury in the Civil War. Thanks for your time and help whether great or small. Linda Pike Price

I do not know how I stumbled on his memorial today. He is a "lost" relative and I had no clue how to find him. I have all his military records, etc but did not know how or where he was buried. I appreciate the research you did in order to give him a biography. Thank you for gong above and beyond just snapping a photo.

Can you help me find this Cemetery, either by address, map or GPS ?
Sadie Long Brubaker is in my family Tree
(not closely related) but I would still like to pay respects.
Thanks, Norm Brown

Hi Robert, I posted a photo to your memorial for Edwin and Emily Matthews who are buried here in Presbyterian Cemetery. Was curious if you might know the connection that the gentleman on top of their marker might have with them? I could not find a family connection. Just curious.

Well, that answer got me laughing - that would be my brother Mike Zion. He actually started our ancestry back when he was in junior high school, now almost 60 years old!! I started probably about 20 years ago, got him back into then as well. Thanks for your reply. Tell your wife "Hi!" from her cousins out here in SoCal!
