Bio and Links
Bio Photo Transfers under the following guideline. I've learned a long time ago you can't please everyone and I'm not going to try. For you who like to break the rules, don't waste your or mine time. If your request is outside my guidelines, I will ignore and delate your request.

Generation 1: your family -- Husband - wife - your children - son-in laws - daughter-in-laws - grandchildren.

Generation 2: your and spouse parents -- Father - Mother - aunts - uncles - 1st cousins - wives and hubands of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Generation 3: Grandparents - their siblings and their children -- huband and wife of siblings and children.

Generation 4: Great Gradparents - their siblings and their children - huband and wife of siblings and children.

NO transfers beyond the great-grandparents and NO transfers of Revolution Soliders or Civil War Soliders or Sailors.

This is a MUST!!! You have to tell me your RELATIONSHIP to the person you want transfered and PROVE if I shoud ask FOR proof. No transfer.

Don't waste my time with: I went school with...I do research for another person would you consider transfering...they were neighbors to my grandparents...I work with this person...they were my neighbors when I was a kid...just this once would consider breaking the rules...ect. ect. ect. If you are not related, forget it. My transfers go to family members who fall within the guide lines.

For you who think there should be no rules and should transfer every request that comes down the pipe, take it up with Find A Grave. They're the ones who set the rules.

CORRECTIONS: For you impatient persons who believe your request should be answered in a 24 hours period of time. Get Real! I may have 30 or 40 other requests before yours comes in. I do answered all corrections but it might take several day or weeks. I don't spent 24-7 at the computer. I know this is hard for you to believe but I do have a life outside the computer. I do have family and friends I spent time with, I have a part time job, yard ward, house keeping, grocery shopping, library research, visiting cemeteries for tombstones to photograph, searching cemeteries for requested tombstones and other chores that has to be do.

MY PERSONAL GOAL: My reason for joining Find A Grave is to presrve graves and their tombstones. That's where the bulk of my time on the computer goes, adding people and their tombstones. Corrections and tranfers are done when I can find extra time in the day. So if it takes me one or two months to answering your requests, so be it. Don't give me any guff, that if I can't keep up with the requests, I should transfer the memorials to someone who can. Get Real!! It won't happen!

Frank Pierce
Good grief -- it is Frank Pierce, not Frank Elliott (who is related). I've got to stop watching the all-night "murder she wrote" reruns!!

Hi Richard: There is a marked difference in clarity of Frank's monument between when I took photo in 2007 and when you did in 2013 -- it looks like it has been refaced, but I didn't know you could do that. Did you use a method to bring out the lettering? Do you recall anything about the stone? Great photo, I will remove mine as soon as you've had a chance to look at it.

Johann Frederick Muthart #43997918
When you find the time, please review the date of birth on this memorial. You have the father Frederick born in 1746 which is after the date of 1738 for his son Adam. Frederick also had a son named Frederick who was born in 1746. They both can't have the same date of birth.
Thank you for your time. I realize from your bio that this could take quite a long time for you to see or even correct, but I'm sure others doing research on this family would appreciate the correct information, if you have it.

RE: Valeria Kohlman Buckley (#70160736)
Richard, I simply had to come over and say THANK YOU for approving my name edit for Anna Valeria (Shelton) Kohlman Buckley. Valeria, as she was known, was a Shelton by birth who had THIRTEEN children with first husband Adolph Kohlman, but none with late-in-life second husband John Buckley.

Many of those children had huge families, too. I was, like Valeria's other descendants who were either unaware of the second marriage or had forgotten it (as I had), looking for her at Grant Cem (aka Youngtown) as a Kohlman, not a Buckley, and only found it by doing a search for Valerias there. By allowing me to add Kohlman before Buckley in the surname slot, she will now be indexed under the last name most will search for her.

Unfortunately, there are memorial creators who are not so open-minded who rejected my surname edits using lame excuses such as "The surname on the cem record is the only one that should be in the surname slot" or "So what if great-granchildren don't know their ancestress remarried late in life...not my problem".

So you've restored my faith in the goodness of Find A Grave contributors who strive to make it as easy as possible for the living to find their dead ancestors on this marvelous website. Again, THANK YOU for allowing this change!

Have a great day!
