Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Hendersonville, NC. I was born in Waynesville, NC. My family lived in Balsam, NC & are buried there. If I have anyones family members and they are not my family. You are welcome to them. There a lot of contributors that only seem to see how many listing they can list and hold and that is not the real reason for this web site. You should never hold any family members that can be handed down to other generations. Any family member should have the first rights over anyone that is not relative to them. Common sense goes a long way.

Enoch Reece
Thank you for straightening out the Enoch Reeces--the two of them get mixed up fairly often. I don't have a list of Enoch and Sophia's children, although I have seen them listed in the census. They don't seem to be related to our Reeces, but could be distant relatives.
Thanks again,

Enoch Reece
Could you please check Enoch's page--memorial # 68111390, and remove Sophia Galloway Reece and her children? The Enoch Reece who was the son of Anthony and Sarah Reece was not the husband of Sophia Galloway. There were two Enoch Reeces in NC. One married Sophia and one married Sarah Halks, daughter of James Halks, a Revolutionary War patriot. Sarah and Enoch had 5 children, Catherine, b. c 1820; Daniel, b 1822; John, b 1824; William L, b about 1835; Amos, b 1841.
Enoch Reece and Sarah Halks were married 20 May 1819 in Haywood Co, NC. Enoch and Sarah were in the Haywood Co census in 1850, and again in 1860. Enoch is not there in 1870, but Sarah is with John Reece and Aliff Caroline and their family. In 1880 Sarah is living with a grandson, Enoch Bryson Reece.
Thank you,

Conner / Connor Mary b.1826
Troy, thanks for the question no info. my search at the time was for my g g grandmother Mary Connor 1825 or 26 Ancestry .com connected Jacob Conner 1776- 1862 to Mary Conner b. 1826 his daughter, at the time i could not find any info on Mary except date of birth 1826. After your message i started a new search found Mary Conner b.1826 d.1880 was married Apr 5 1848 to Thomas Bradley b.1827-d.1880. So this is not my g g grandmother. My Mary married Jul 14 1839 Union County, GA. to Milton E Brown b.1815 SC. I am sorry for all the confusion more sorry i have not found my g g g grandparents as i had thought. I will have to start over. Thanks again, Frances Brown Jetter
