I'm not sure how I happened upon it, but I discovered "Find A Grave" in April 2012. I am a hobby genealogist and a neophyte at that.
In the fall of 2008, by chance, I came into possession of two family photos from the early 1900's, one from each side of our family. I have always sensed this discovery was more than coincidence, perhaps a nudge that I should pay attention to. Since then, I have found this "hobby" takes me in many directions. Branches of our family have been reacquainted and we have come to know family that we had never met. "Find A Grave" takes me on still another path and allows me to help others with similar interests. I grew up in a Funeral Home and have always been intrigued with cemeteries. I'm fortunate to have a husband who shares my curiosity and often accompanies me on graveyard excursions.
I live in Oxford County, Maine which is located in the far western portion of the state. If anyone is searching for gravestone photos in this area, I will assist wherever possible.

Thank you so much. Mr. Irish is my gr.gr.grandfather. I have his daughter (my great grandmother) Lillian's autograph album. There are many names from the Hartford, ME area circa 1880s. I was not able to find more info until now.

 | Davenports at Pleasant Pond DJ,
Thank you so much for fulfilling these photo requests. Marge and Henry were very dear friends of my parents and we have a wealth of memories of this very special couple. I can't tell you how much it means to be able to "visit" their distant graves.Added by AuntieJ on Jun 21, 2012 7:13 PM | | | Laurie Small Webb
