Like a tiny seed|
That fell to earth.
When no one cared
Or knew it's worth.
Through wind and rain
Sleet and snow.
It sprouted roots.
And began to grow.
Now Whoever thought
That you and me.
Would be one branch
Of that mighty tree.

Thank you Sherry for leaving a token on my aunt's memorial. It is very much appreciated.

Thank you for the link to Rootsweb Sherry.
I wonder why the book "Howard's of Eastern Kentucky" put out by the Magoffin Co Historical Society states that Willis m. Louise Ward Blanton?
Wonder if she could have been married to a Wilson before she m. Willis, or if maybe there was a mistake made someplace? I know Rootsweb has my great-grandfather's name as Joseph M Howard, wwhen in fact it was Joseph W. It also states that Louanna, d/o Henry and Elizabeth, married A.J. Patton, when it was A.J. Howard b.1836
I appreciate your response.

Do you know who the parents of Lewisa Howard that was married to Willis Howard were.

Hi Sherry. I found my great grandparents listed on the site under you. I was wondering if I could take over their pages. I would like to add all their children and a bunch of pictures of them. Also, spell grandma's name correctly. :)

Thank you for visiting my loved ones. You've been missed
|t. g. davis||john f. franklin|
hi. my g-g-aunt was mallie davis, daughter of elias p. davis, unionist whig party boss of carter county. she was married at age 14 to a john franklin. 1857-divorced 1862. they had a daughter, lillian. there are only little snips known about who john was, none of them reliable. it is thought the problems were made worse by the fact that he was a 'rebel.'
it looks like he was 'run out.' he may have been the john franklin in the 7th ky cavalry. may/may not have been killed in the war.
i'm looking at your john franklin and the location and dates are not incompatible. this is all i know. so i'm curious, if you have any more info on john franklin of magoffin co. (this would have been floyd or johnson co. at that time) ... i realize its grabbing at straws, but thats all i have sometimes.
|Garnett Amyx||Listings in the Collinsworth Cementery|
Hello, I am Garnett Amyx. This cemetery is located at Lykins, White Oak Creek in Magoffin County KY. It is located on the hill behind my house. David and Elizabeth Prater Collinsworth are my gg-grandparents are were the first to be buried there (except their infant son Boon d. 1877.
Most of the listings on this site are correct except for those of what appears to be Marion Collinsworth's family. Boyd, Hobart, Leona,, Marion, Sarah Risner Collinsworth, and Tealie.
My genealogy records show that Marion was the son of John W. and Susan Mongtomery Collinsworth. John was a brother of my David. According to my records John and Susan were buried on Puncheon Creek in Magoffin County. Marion's family may also be buried in the Collinsworth cemetery there.
I am new to Find a Grave so I don't know what needs to be done to correct this.
I have done Collinsworth research for years and have a lot of genealogy information that I would be will to share with any one.
my e-mail address is email@example.com
I am on FB Garnett Amyx
