Genealogy helps restore the many pieces of the puzzle regarding family connections. Life is defined by the dash between our birth and the time we go to meet our Heavenly Father God. |
I am interested in the "dashes" between my ancestors' birth and death beginning with those who came in the mid 1600s - 1700s: The William White family, who came on the first Mayflower voyage and settled in Plymouth, MA. Then the line of families including: Wheeler and Rowe, who first settled in Massachusetts, Brainerd-Brainard from England who settled in Connecticut, Collins who settle on Governor Sprague's property in Rhode Island. The Nicol family from Scotland who settled in St. Lawrence County, Hammond, New York and then settled in Iowa, also the Quaker families of Knowles and Wilber (from NY to Iowa). The Peckenpaughs and Steibers from Germany and then those who came in the 1800s and settled in Wisconsin, Iowa and South Dakota - Childs from England, Steiber from Prussia, Nold from Switzerland, Reiersons and Houge/Hauges from Norway, and Nicholas from Wales; Lastly those who came in 1898...from Denmark namely Christensen and Walther side and Nelsens who settled in SD and later in ND and those from Sweden, Larsson, Nelson,and Carlson families who settled in Big Stone Co. Minnesota and later in Ward County, North Dakota.
"Not to know what
happened before we were
born is to remain perpetually
a child. For what is the worth
of a human life unless it is
woven into the life of our ancestors by the records of history"
-Cicero (106-43 B.C.)

Find A Grave Memorial# 126629468
If you call Acacia Park Cemetery and Mausoleum at 773-625-7800 and:
1. Ask if your photo request person has a headstone / grave marker.
2. If there is a headstone / grave marker ask for the section, block, lot and grave number.
3. If you send that information to me, Susan (#48964989) I will go there and fulfill your photo request. Of course any other Find A Grave volunteer can also fulfill your request if you then add the headstone location information to your photo request page.

Hi Evelyn, I'm glad his memorial brought you good memories. Herb was my great uncle.
|Earl Lindquist||Donna Marie Hennix|
Thank you so much Evelyn for doing that so quickly. For you information I am related to the Hennix family thru Hilder. He married Mary Lindquist, which would have been my Dads sister. I have been working on both findagrave and ancestry and trying to get them all match up correctly and could not just leave that one alone. Thank you so much.
|Earl Lindquist||Gaylen Jerome Hennix|
Greetings Evelyn, could you please look at Mem Number 74355079 for Donna Marie Hennix. Listed twice is Gaylen Jerome Hennix as parents and then again as Siblings. Galylen Jerome Hennix was married to Dorothy Mildred Christiason. Not Garda Marie Myren Hennix. Thank you for looking at this.
|Susan ||RE: George Chard|
