Solomon Butler Stephens cemetery

You created the entry for Solomon Butler Stephens and provided the directions for the cemetery. Have you actually been to the cemetery, and if so, do you know if there are dates and names on the markers? Solomon is my 5G grandfather.

Thank you!

Hello Ms. Latta,

I have been informed that you are taking care of a cemetery which contains the burial of between 6 and 10 Union Veterans. I thank you for this. Could you tell me what is going on with the cemetery and how we can help you with this project? If you have pictures of the cemetery and names of the soldiers, could you pass them on to me and we will try to locate their next of kin.

Also, please list the names and contact information of the people you have already contacted in this matter and I will call them to get their side of the story and to see if they will do anything.

Again, thank you for your desire to see this cemetery and these veterans properly cared for.

Send a request to Tell them you would like management of his memorials telling them they are your family and he is no longer active. Let me know if it doesn't work for you.

You are correct that I can enter both spouses on James Cleveland Hamlin's memorial, but for some reason, the memorial displays them in reverse order. I did not use any marriage dates. Can you figure this one out? If you think you can fix it, I can transfer to you for the fix, and you can transfer it back. Please let me know what you think. Thanks and best regards, Karl Hamlin

Thanks for writing back! Yes, Reuben belongs to me also. He is the son of Isham, I believe. My father has done extensive research on Renix, Reuben, William, James, Isham...He has hit a dead end with Jeremiah Hodge, who is his direct (and mine) line. He was born in Pendleton, WV when it was Virginia back around 1790, but my father cannot find his parents anywhere. My cousin, William Renick Hodge #115555549(probably yours too) has his frock coat on display at the Museum of the Confederacy. He was Renix Hodge's son. I will have to peruse your list of Hodge's. This is very interesting, and I'm glad I found you.

Kym :)

Hi! Looks like you may be a lineal relative of some Hodge folks. We are probably related in some way. Just wanted to drop you a line and say hello, and let you know I think your profile picture is awesome. Take care!
