Doty Cemetery - Holden Burials
Hello, I added photos to the Holden burials in the Doty Cemetery in Wallingford, VT. If you'd prefer me to remove them, just let me know.

Moses Blakeslee
I was wondering if he could be buried in the same cemetery as his wife is. I noticed you don't have him linked to any cemetery.
Lucius Barnes Barbour, "Families of Early Hartford, Connecticut" (Genealogical Publishing Co., 1979) Said that He died 8 Oct. 1741.
Information can be found on page 50. This is considered a primary source for his death.

Bessie Holden
I added your photos for Harry Holden Dickerman's grave to his wife Bessie Holden. They are the same stone but she didn't have a page yet. Hope that's OK.

I was wondering if there is information that both couples are buried in the old cemetery in Concord,Ma.I know they lived close by and other members are buried there. I am researching the family because my maternal great grandmother was a Heald- born in Carlisle,Ma.I know that both couples are my direct relatives. Thank you for any information you may have.

Elizabeth Rogers (Higgins)1639-1677
Her father was Joseph Rogers (Mayflower passenger) and her mother was Hannah mnu (her last name is lost to history). There is no proof of a second marriage for Joseph, so the children are full siblings. A very important sibling of Elizabeth's was left out, and that is Hannah, b. Eastham on Aug.8, 1652. It is surmised that ER died in childbirth with her 6th child, Elisha. Her sister Hannah stepped in to care for the baby and other siblings, and ended up in a common law marriage with Jonathan Higgins, with whom she had 5 more children, ironically dying at the birth of her 5th child, also a daughter.
Joseph's brother John married an Anna Churchman. Hannah's parents are unknown to this day.
I hope this helps update her bio. LAC

RE: Stanbury and Hannah Button
The cemetery is not in the best condition, many stones were broken, face down, unreadable etc. These were very old burials. A lot of times the pre- 1800 ones are missing or nearly impossible to find or read. Jim

Hammond Family
Hi Sandy,

The corrections & deletion I did this morning. Sorry about the duplications, that was a mistake. I noticed that I had 2 duplications for Ottieline Hammond, why? Sorry about that !!

No, I live in Western New York, but I went to college in Vermont & travel there when I can. But now my husband is not well & I pass my time not only taking care of him, but also my peace is genealogy. Been a genealogist for 42 years.
Have been going through my many many notebooks to add to this site.

I have been to Vermont State Archives in Middlesex, VT many times. I hear that their records are now online, but I have not been able to find that?

I love Vermont & wish I could there right now !!!!

Sincerely Your Friend, Laurie S Tokarsky # 47375347
