All good deeds must be punished, I guess. I have been requested to remove all the obituaries I have posted. Since I have posted hundreds, this is an impossible task. I will no longer contribute ANYTHING to FindAGrave.com and will limit my volunteer efforts to iowagravestones.org. The complainer did not even have the decency to sign their email, therefore most post here.|

For more information on my GGGrandfather, please see my page (2Mulshine2) for him on Ancestry.Com. My cousin, sister and I have done extensive research, together with input from other family members, so everything you could need to know about his public life is there. He was an incredible public persona, but family stories don't translate well into dates and timelines, so you won't see exactly everything. - Janet

I am stunned that you sent this information to me. Last year I was searching, trying to verify that there was an actual body in that grave (which I visited in May). I spoke to the State Historical Society in Des Moines, and they said there would have to be a body to have a headstone, but the question was - were there any records to document that the body was sent from France? You have answered that question. This was all done in preparation for a speech I gave at a Civil War remembrance ceremony in Council Bluffs. I am a great-great granddaughter of Samuel Lyle and Harriet McCune Glasgow. Thank you so much! And isn't the obituary issue only if the newspaper is still in operation, such that it is a copyright issue? I will gladly add this information. - Janet Glasgow Mulshine

I for one do appreciate those that post obits. sad to hear you had to run into such a narrow-minded person. People have to realize that there been so much of our family histoires lost down through the years, any information, where ever I find it is very important for my records/books.
Thanks cousin for your hard work,

Thanks for checking on the dates for Newton. We all know cemetery books aren't always reiable but still worth questioning at times.
Thanks again, really appreciate all you do for F.A.G.

I want to thank you for posting the obituary for Catherine. She is the sister of my Great-grandmother and I am absolutely thrilled to have found it, quite by accident. I hadn't looked at her site for awhile. I'm sorry you have been asked to remove them. I believe it may now be in the public domain. Seems like some people have nothing better to do than "police" other peoples' memorials.
