I have always been fascinated by genealogy and family history. |
I was born in Georgia, grew up in New Jersey, went to college in Virginia, and have now lived in Dodge City, Kansas, for more than 35 years.
My only son, Robbie, died in March 2000 at the age of 16, and I have listed him on Find A Grave. You can visit him at Robert Hampton Smith.
I also have a memorial site for Robbie at RobbieSmith.com.
MY DEAR FRIENDS FROM F-A-G:
My time online has become more limited, and I will no longer be able to make daily visits to all of your sweet angels. However, I do plan to make monthly virtual cemeteries so that I can continue to flower your angels on their birthdays and angel days.
THANK YOU to all of you for your many kind visits and messages. I so very much appreciate our wonderful family here at Find-a-Grave!

Dear Saralyn, I thank you, for all your time you've given to "my" people during my absence from F-A-G.
I really do appreciate it. I hope that you are well. :)

Thank you for visiting my Dad's F-A-G site on his Angel Day. It makes the day special to have others share it.

You are absolutely right Saralyn...we must NEVER forget. My dad was in the Navy and at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941...and he never forgot [but he wouldn't talk about what he saw there either]. All of the men in my family, and most of the boys I grew up with, or who lived in my neighborhood were in the service. Unfortunately, Michael did not make it back home....but he [as well as so many others] paid the price for my [our] freedom, for which I am eternally grateful.
Please give your husband my humble Thank You for his service to our country, which I appreciate.
Have a great evening, and I thank you also for your reply.

...Saralyn for visiting Sgt. Michael Manno on his Angel Day. It was so very kind and considerate of you, and I appreciate your taking the time to flower him.
Enjoy your evening and the upcoming week.
Blessings to you and yours,

Thank you for your sponsorship ~ I was so surprised!
Now I need to get started with the bio.
I don't think the kids are overly interested in my memorials, so thought it would be a good idea. You just never know...
Again thank you dear friend. You are always so kind and thoughtful.
Saralyn~ Thank you so much for visiting our son, Brad ~ especially on his birthday ~ seems the good times bring such tender memories - blessings for you, also ~ Shirleen

While at Locustwood today, I found Richard Sr. Wenstrom (1925-2002) and Virginia (1926-? ) Would you like these photos? If so, I can email them to you or if you prefer, post them to memorial pages in Find A Grave. Please advise. Pat
