"We were talking about what it was like to spend one's childhood in little towns like these, buried in wheat and corn, under stimulating extremes of climate: burning summers when the world lies green and billowy beneath a brilliant sky, when one is fairly stifled in vegetation, in the color and smell of strong weeds and heavy harvests; blustery winters with little snow, when the whole country is stripped bare and gray as sheet-iron. We agreed that no one who had not grown up in a little prairie town could know anything about it."|
-- Willa Cather from 'My Antonia'

I can not seem to find a way to correct the children in Iowa linked to the John William Voss of Beloit, other than deleting him, then recreating his page. If you can please give me some clue as to how to correct it other than deletion, I would really appreciate your help.

memorial # 83539465
You are not foing to believe this.
I was so worried I had made an error and now with a closer inspection of the headstone--I realize the dates for Henry Francis Schull's father is CORRECT! The person creating the memorial read it wrong and at first so did I.
I am so sorry for all the mess I have caused you.
I am adding back the connection and if you would accept, I would appreciate it.

Thank you. You will have to delete the link to this John William Voss. I tried but could not apply change. If that can not be done, I would have to delete the Beloit John Voss. then recreate.

I found a John Voss in Center, Emmett, Iowa in the 1920 and 1930 Federal Census with daughter, Dorothy M. Voss. Evidently, the one buried in Oakwood in Beloit is not the one who died in Iowa in your edit request. If you could please contact me for confirmation, I would appreciate your input before my linking correction for the John Voss, who died in Beloit.

In checking data information through Ancestry.com, I found different dates from your edits. Perhaps, this is another John W. Voss? The one listed in Oakwood died in Beloit, according to the Wisconsin Death Index.

I added a death notice for Mary Leslie on her memorial. She was not in the WPA records or listed in the 1986 cemetery book or her husbnd William.I see from his obit and her death notice that they were interred in the mausoleum. The mausoleum was tore down in 1968 and people moved within the cemetery or if the family wished to other cemeteries. Those not having a marked crypt were buried in unmarked graves and no record was made of where they were buried.I know of at least a handful of people I have helped researchers with that this was the case.
Sorry I didn't mean to add he death notice in place of a stone pic.
