"We were talking about what it was like to spend one's childhood in little towns like these, buried in wheat and corn, under stimulating extremes of climate: burning summers when the world lies green and billowy beneath a brilliant sky, when one is fairly stifled in vegetation, in the color and smell of strong weeds and heavy harvests; blustery winters with little snow, when the whole country is stripped bare and gray as sheet-iron. We agreed that no one who had not grown up in a little prairie town could know anything about it."|
-- Willa Cather from 'My Antonia'

May I use your Burris/Johnson family headstone photos on my Ancestry Tree? Thanks.

Wow, as I enter this data I see all of those inconsistencies you mentioned! I just printed out the obituary for Pat Jennings, 86, who is buried in "Calvary Cemetery in Reno". Thanks for keeping me straight. We had to go through ORD yesterday, which was closed for 2 hours due to weather. I feel that the slogan should be "whatever happens in ORD, spreads throughout the US". Got home at midnight, work at 7:00

We are heading back to NJ tomorrow, after a very successful trip. I'll be sending you a lot of obits and updates over the next few weeks.

According to my records, Elda Harader (10/8/1873 - 8/26/1874) was the child of Samuel Harader and Ann Elizabeth Dawson.
For some reason, maybe in error, my database shows Elda as a daughter who was born and died in Washington Township, Adams County, Iowa.
Samuel Harader is a distant cousin.
Are you related to Haraders?

Thank you so much for snapping the photos of John and Mary Stern and their son Charles markers.
I know I would never get to Iowa and am very appreciative of your taking the time to fulfill my request.

I'm headed out to Iowa in August. There is a reunion planned, so I should be able to get some more photos taken of some of our families.
|Tom Jennings||RE: Foland|
You are most welcome. Your contributions have done so much for my research, I'm glad to return the favor, in some small way.
|Glenn Fleming||RE: Thank you!|
As always you are very welcome.As I am transplanted to Cass County and not related to anyone other than my immediate family it is refreshing to see those that are from the area interested in their ancestry.I have a friend who was born in Atlantic and lived here his whole life and could give a hoot about his ancestry.I wish my ancestry was this close.Lol.
