We and our sisters are members of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Our brother is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and Pat's husband is also a member of SAR. We enjoy working on genealogy, looking for connections to our past family members.

Doris Parton
I sent her a private message and she said she would friend you. She said that DAR won't accept dna results.

Hi. Though I personally don't have any documentation that would help you prove John was Nancy's father, a lady named Doris Noland Parton is the administrator of a Sevier County, TN Genealogy page on Facebook. Recently Doris posted that the DNA testing she had had done proved her descent from the Thornton's and Washingtons. I will get her email address for you and post it here, if you wish. She is very helpful to everyone, and I'm sure would be willing to share whatever she has that might help you with your DAR application.

p.s. on Barnes
Fran: And then, I could delete the Unknown Barnes/Bobby Barnes Memorial Find A Grave Memorial# 139495108.

If there turns out to be two: Infant Barnes and Bobby Barnes, I could transfer Bobby to you since you are related.

We are getting about 5 days of 50 degree weather this coming week! Can't wait!

Let me know!

Hi! That was great news. I took photos of all the graves I found at that cemetery, but those 2 did not have a photo. So now, we know where they really are!
Have deleted the two I had entered.

Only about 6 more weeks till Spring!

GRATEFULLY,
PATTYB&JR

Thank you for being so gracious in this matter. I contacted her son, John, first about transferring her to him and he accepted the request. Mary is now in his management.

I was able to move my memorials from Carrs Hill in Swain to the Carrs Hill in Transylvania. I want to make sure all the information I have is added to the other memorials or ask for transfers before I delete mine. I don't want any information to be lost. There are two memorials remaining that I did not create so I didn't delete the page for the church. They may already be in the other cemetery, I will try to check.
Thanks,
Julie

Hello Pat/Frances,
I have moved Great Uncle Joe to the Carrs Hill in Transylvia. It's cold here too. Hope y'all are keeping warm!

Okay - I see now. It looks like the one in Transylvania county is correct. I don't know how/why I made that mistake. I really hate that. Maybe whoever created the memorials will be so kind and transfer them to me. I'll make the requests and see what happens. On another topic I saw where you work at the home where Uncle Robert and Aunt Viola were. I never got to visit them while they were there, only at their home. Thank you for taking care of them. I appreciate your work. Thanks again for the messages. I hope you have a wonderful new year!
