Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born and raised in Fresno, California of Alabama born parents, got into Genealogy in 1997 when I could not figure out what else to do with this computer on-line. I have built up quite a lot of pictures of old shots of Clay County and Jefferson County Alabama. I have visited most of the cemeteries of my ancestors and my Wife's ancestors in Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas. A Self-proclaimed Historian with a California Historical society (E Clampus Vitus), I am visiting places of historical interest and with my trusty Dimage , Vivitar and Olympus digital cameras have been taking pictures of headstones at whatever cemeteries we may visit and Historical Monuments in our travels in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Washington. In Fresno, I have added the 1919 biographies of early Fresno residents from the Paul E Vandor book titled "The History of Fresno County" to as many listings as I could. If you have something you would like to have added to a Bio, just drop me a line.

I follow FindaGrave rules and usually transfer close relatives within 30 days. You can complain to the FindaGrave administrators if you want, but you will likely find they too have little patience for impatient people.

Caleb Edson Harman picture
The picture posted is of his father Caleb Harman 1836-1815. I have a picture of Caleb Edson Harman and wife given to me by his great grandson Walter Russell. Our family is from Caleb Sr. brother's family Hiram Harman of Iowa.

Marvin DiCeglie
Thank you for the transfer of Marvin DiCeglie's memorial. I was finally able to link Marvin with his parents and all of his siblings here on Find A Grave. That meant a lot to Marvin's surviving daughter. Your kind efforts to establish his memorial are also greatly appreciated.

You are most welcome. It was my pleasure. If you find out who JA Stiles is that is buried with him, I'll be glad to change the photo and upload it to the memorial. Check your email for more info.

RE: William and David Turner
Thank-you for correction. We have David Turner Sr. b. 1801 d. 1857 based information from a descendant, but I don't know where she got the information. He was 49 in the 1850 census, so that would be b. 1801.

If any Turners of this family want to know more about other parts of their ancestry re Blair line please let me know.

David Turner Sr. married Mary Blair, the daughter of James Blair and Isabel Waddle. The Blair and Waddle families were from Rev. War patriots. Mary Blair's grandfather William Blair was the first Rev. War veteran buried in Iowa. I am a Blair researcher and belong to the Blair Society for Genealogical Research (

Mary (Blair) Turner died having her youngest son, David Jr., in 1839. David Sr. kept the oldest three children, Isabel, James and Wm. T. with him and went to Calif. in or after 1850. May have gone to the Gold Rush. He is in the census in 1850 in Center (or Centre), Porter Co., IN. David Turner Jr. was in the household of his grandparents James and Isabel Blair and it looks like he never went to California. Since he was a baby I don't know if the family in Calif. even knew about him. He moved to Great Bend, Barton Co., KS and raised his family there.

Lester I can use that help now please, if you still have time. These are the ones at Mendocino in Parlier that the volunteer was not able to find. I know you know where they are. They are in the Parlier family area, near the office, near the big stone that says Parlier. There are 4 there that I've been trying to get : William George Sanderson, Plot: Div 2 Block 8 Lot 3 Grave 1 Memorial # 142757633, Abigail (Abby) King Sanderson, Plot: Div 2, Block 8, Lot 3, Grave 2, Memorial# 140936168, Cornelius King, Plot: Div 2 Block 8 Lot 2 Grave 6 Memorial# 143017755, Jonathan A. King, Plot: Div 2 Block 8 Lot 3 Grave 4, Memorial# 132533860. I do know for certain they DO have grave stones. And they ARE in that cemetery. Thank you SOOO much. I have advised the previous volunteer that I have someone who knows where they are so she doesn't need to go all the way back out there again and keep trying. Thank you again. I really appreciate it.
